I'm two days away from being done with A&P I, and A&P II is a 6 week class online this summer.
Who will be taking A&P II as well?
Anne36, your class sounds tough! I can't imagine taking an entirely short answer/essay type exam. I'm gonna send good vibes your way :)
I started class this past Monday. We're supposed to cover 3 chapters a week, with labs as well. We're on schedule, but there's so much material to cover in one week. My teacher seems nice and fair - our first exam is Monday of next week, and it's going to be 50 questions, about 35-40 multiple choice and 10-15 short answer or essay type questions. Once I take the test, I'll have a better grasp of where I stand in the class because we don't have any grades yet.
Good luck Serene Peach, that is a fast class. My class is a normal course so it does not end until August. I dont see how people can do A&P so quick, there are few who can manage the regular semester. We are down to 24 people after the first exam. I am sure that more will drop out I just hope its not me!
Anne~
We started class Tuesday (its twice a week from 5:30 to 10:15) and our first lecture exam is Tuesday of next week and our lab is next Thursday , I didn't think it would this fast paced but it is, and my class last till August 12th so I feel your pain. Half the class didnt even show up for the first day
. This is a great thread that we have so we can cheer eachother on! We can do this!! This is just a preparation of how hard nursing school is REALLY going to be.
i love the a & p ii notes that are posted in the sticky above, and they have been very useful so far...however it seems like the chapter for the respiratory system is missing? does anyone know of any notes that exist for this chapter? i hate to rely on them, and i'm not really, but they're awesome notes and i'd like to have them.
anyone?
nohika, sorry to hear about that, hope it goes better for you next time. When does your summer class start? Im taking A&P2 right now but it is a normal class, so it goes all summer. If you are retaking it, does that mean you are still in it? and if so, are you dropping or finishing it to get the extra heads up?

I'm still technically enrolled but I gave up going since I'm not safe to drive right after a nocshift. Heh, I'm barely safe to drive home...
Summer classes start the week after next. I may or may not take summer classes...it looks like my four-year university is going to give me a second chance, and keep me enrolled for fall (I'm praying it's so), so I'm thinking about taking the summer off to recharge from everything. Not sure where I'll go after...maybe nursing, maybe something else. I think some time off will benefit me greatly, especially emotionally.
Today was our first test over the Endocrine System, Blood and Heart. I don't think I did well, as the multiple choice questions really tripped me up ( I hate when choices include both all of the above or none of the above as answers). I'm hoping for a B, but I feel I might have done worse. Will found out in a few days.
Taking the 5 week summer session is crazy...so much info in so little time!
Hi Serene Peach, we had our first Lab exam tonight. It was interesting. We got asked a lot of questions that were knowledge and physiology as opposed to knowing all the Lab assignments that we had. I was very surprised and dont know how I did. It was on Blood, Vessels, Lypmhatic, Heart and Endocrine.

2bnurse, thats great. I wish I had my old Professor for A&P 2.
Im so glad this thread is here to vent.
We have had 1 exam and 4 quiz so far. Every single question has been fill in the blank, (no word bank), short answer. I hate this class. No multiple choice at all and no way of knowing what will be on the quiz, exam except for the powerpoint. The Prof is really nice , but we just had a "quiz" yesterday and the first question was asking for 4 out of 5 answers to a specific question. Our quiz is over all the powerpoints we cover in a given week. I could see asking 1 or 2 things , but expecting us to know about everything on 1 subject for a quiz! We have to study for our quiz like they are exams.
The Lab is next week and I realize that I will be lucky to land a C. I have been working my tail off in Lab but there is no chance Im going to know all the histology slides. They are all purple with cells and nuclei, very interesting, but many just look like different slides of squamous tissue, without anything unique to rate them. We had 8 slides in last nights lab, and I was not impressed with any one of them.
