Who's taking A&P II this summer? (2010)

Published

I'm two days away from being done with A&P I, and A&P II is a 6 week class online this summer.

Who will be taking A&P II as well?

I am currently taking A&PI and am signed up for A&P II for second summer session. Class meets Tu,wed, thr for four hours. Lecture three hours, lab and hour each night. We have a unit exam on Tuesdays and lab exams on Thursday. Takes a ton of time and pretty stressful. Good thing is that at the end of the summer I will be done with A&P and will have all my prereq's completed.

I could also add that I am disturbed by how many people are taking this class for the second time or who are telling me after the first lecture and lab exam that they are already planning on taking this class a second time in the fall.

Im going to try and stay away from these people as much as possible, its really dragging me down psychologically. I need to stay focused without wrecking my confidence.

How do you manage all of these classes at the same time. Wow, AP is so hard by itself...

What School do you attend? Open book, wow.

Who has open book? Im lost, lol.

All of my class is open book...not sure if I'm the one who was being referred to though.

What do you mean by open book? Do you get to have your book out for quizes? When I had Microbiology we got to have open book quizes but they were timed and you be surprised how many people had trouble with those. Most people did not get 100%, it was closer to 70-80% average.

All labs and exams are open book. Yes, they are timed, but we can use anything we want to aid in our performance.

I soooo wish I had an open book test for A & P!! I got my first test back today and did better than I thought - got an 83 - but I'm really aiming for that A. We have four more tests at 15% each, so I think that *may* be doable if i study my butt off!

Ugh! Im so wiped out. I m already getting burned out on this class and feel so unmotivated to study. All short answer style questions are too hard to remember everything. Im studying all weekend while I have company and have no idea what to do for fathers day. Im broke.

Ive been making a studychart of all the hormones in the endocrine system. We have to know the triggers for hormone release, action, etc. This is crazy! She should have just told us which ones we had to know. Do you all know the chain of command from Hypothalamus down to releasing gland level?

For example TRH-TSH-TH? or CRH-ACTH-Corticosteroids

We had to know the chain of hormones. Endocrine was difficult because there was a LOAD of information. But, you can get it. Try medicalmnumonics.com for some good study aids.
