Who wants to play the waiting game with me?

Published

That's right; this semester is over and it's no longer in my hands! :yeah:I'm officially playing the waiting game! I've done all that I can and all that needs to be done. The school's acceptance letters go out in March so I'm on here looking for someone, anyone on here who might be in the same boat as me and who wants to jump into the pool and swim with me as we wait for our numbers to be called!

So... anyone out there?:smokin:

I petiton for the program in Feb thought acceptance letters would go out in may but I was wrong. The school has to wait to see how many people who applied pass this certain class. This class is Nur 1010 which I'm currently in now. Its the pre req before you can get into the nursing program. I won't know the earliest until June. I was told by my nursing professor not to really expect anything until July. It's going to be a long and stressful summer! :banghead:

:yeah::w00t: Congratulations to all that have received their acceptance letter!! Oh what relief and excitement you must be feeling! Even though it will be a challenging road through nursing school, keep your eye on the prize. You will be serving fellow humans through some of the most difficult times in the life experience, it is a priveledge that I look so forward to. Giving back to community, contributing to the lives of others. As a nurse we are intertwined in some of the most precious moments in the life span. The birth of a human life. The death process in life span. The most intimate moments in life, we will be part of. It will be an honor. I pray I will have my acceptance letter April 15th.

Hi All,

I have finished the applications and entrance exam for two schools. Now I patiently wait... should hear from one by the end of March and the other shortly thereafter. I have been working toward this for three years because it is my lifelong dream. I am very excited but really scared at the same time.

Good Luck to all who are waiting!:typing

GOT IN! Received my letter for ETSU's (East Tennessee) Accelerated BSN program!! Still waiting on WCU's, but ETSU was my top choice. We've just decided to move to a cheaper apartment to the reduce the amount of student loans I'll need. Big life changes on the way- I think I'm ready for this?! Are any other career changers out there feeling anxious?

Kcoa11, I got into sandhills cc in north Carolina. I also applied to fayetteville tech cc, but that letter won't be here til April. My dh wants me to attend FTCC but I don't think I'll get in. I'm just happy I got into sandhills!

I'm tired of waiting......

I've applied to Emory - have not been waitlisted, others have, have not been accepted, others have...and I've applied to GPC - rumor is that there were over 4000 applications - has been narrowed down to 1000 - I haven't received a "NO THANK YOU" from them...and I've applied to GA STATE - just waiting....and I've applied to Mercer - waiting to hear from the other schools before I send Mercer NET results - I did good on the net, just don't want to spend another $40 if I don't have to!!! especially since the application fee was waived for attending an information session.....

I hate waiting!!!!!!

I have been in the IT world for about 20 years. I am becoming very nervous about my career change. I have volunteered as an EMT and on the National Ski Patrol. I look forward to the challenge, but am still apprehensive about starting over.

Good Luck

CONGRATS! CONGRATS!! CONGRATS!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah:

Findingmypath, I fall into the "career changers" category but am so pumped about it I don't think I would consider myself anxious, haha! Perhaps that will set in as we get closer to the fall....I think I'm still in a state of shock/disbelief about it all to be honest with ya.

Congrats again to the both of you and all whom have gotten acceptance letters! And, for those who are still waiting, we are praying and believing on this end!

I have an interview for a BSN program on Friday, so I'm getting closer!!!

Orientation is May 1st (it's a summer program), so I'll be finding out soon! Good luck to everyone else who is dealing with this waiting game. Don't ever give up!

My wait is over! I just got into GPC Fall 09 ....still waiting to hear from BSN programs....and then hopefully I will get to decide! and see who offers the best Financial Aid!!!

Thank goodness the wait is over!!! I'm both excited and scared and in disbelief that my life will be a changing sooner than later!!!

Good Luck to all of you still on pins and needles!!!
