What if you have your bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy! and worked it for more than a year are you still able to apply to become a CRNA???

I have heard that same response from nurses at my work that its harder to get into nursing school now...one said it was much easier to get into nursing school years back, she got in with a 3.0 at UTHSC in SA and there weren't any Entrance Exams you had to take to get in the program such as TEAS and HESI...I wonder why its sooo much harder nowadays to become a nurse when there is a suposal shortage, you would think they would make it a lil easy on us.

I have definitely been celebrating...WOOOT WOOT!! IM IN!!!!!!! ok sooo...just had to stop by and say that....classes have got me sooo consumed its ridiculous! and im studying like REALLY crazy to get A's on my finals!!! for those of you in FINALS GREAT LUCK TO YOU!!!!! I took pharmocology here at my community college...I was going to do ADN...but I'd just rather go for BSN my mail man comes in the AM like 9ish which isn't bad... if pixie got it around the 28th...then... NEXT WEEK IS DO OR DIE!!!! Tun tun tun! Ok...so im buying a bike tomorrow hoping that will help relieve stress and shed the excess pounds I have gained...wahh!! oh at work we have nursing students and maaan! ...poor guys they get put with the toughest patients...by that I mean the patients are max assist THE total care, oh and really overweight...some get lucky though!! ...us tech's shouldn't be doing their vitals for them, but its hard to not help them out...they have to take care of 3 pt. ok! I have to put my head back into phys. like right now...STAT! READY! GO!!

I started gaining weight just recently 7 pounds to be exact and it started because I now work from 3-11pm and when I get out of work I tend to want to eat...and I over eat!! its ridiculous!!! Im thin and tall...but my chunky side is starting to show up...Im buying a bike this friday...I wan't to loose these 7 pounds plus another 20 a total of 27 pounds to be exact. but I think it also depends on the hours of the day you work too...

I've come across male black PCT's...can't recall a nurse at where I work...

Nothing yet!!! I promise! ...the waiting has got me aaall whack! I probably gained like 10 pounds from this stressful wait!! hahaa!

I got trained by Austin Community College! you then get certified and registered in DADS...of course after the completion of clinicals and Exam. you just go to the Highland Business Center on the 4th floor right out of the elevators you are there! go to Austincc.edu and look for the Continuing Education link

Hey guys! Yup! Miranda819 ya got it! you walk in sign your name they give you a name tag and you hand them your 25 money order to take the exam, you sit and wait for like 10 minutes...then...you have four ladies two of them call names for their group interview and the other two call names for their's I had the Dean Mrs Yarborough I was told by the dean that there are 260 applicants and only about 120 to 150 will be accepted...and WE GET OUR NOT ACCEPTED/ACCEPTED LeTTERS 2nD week of APRIL aAHHhhh!!!! ok! GOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!! AND you've got it in the bag!

Oln2 YAY your from Texas...hehe yeah El Paso is part of TExas regardless of what others may say or think...its part of the loan star state! oh sucky! cold and rainy was exactly how it looked like last week here...I can only imagine...BUT now, you know how sporadic and crazy Texas weather is its now super sunny and HOT! perfect spring break for some too hot for meee! hehe Well you keep it up with the studying! Hi Oln2! thats soo cool youre coming from Virginia...did you purchase the TEAS study guide? or are you going to wing it? my exam and interview is this friday in the AM...what made you decide to do nursing school in Texas??? just wondering...well take care! oh one more thing...how's the weather in Virginia??? hehe

...its more like keeping my style within the work place...I still put my make-up on, I dress up my scrubs by being craftsy...I put cute iron on tags and what not and I do my hair...whether its up or down its done...and then when I see the paycheck, I buy myself something FABULOUS JUuuuuST for ME!! I love PAY DAY!!!!! the nut-bar and the PAPer!

I have my TEAS Exam this friday! I am studying for it this very moment (well more like the book is in front of me and I have decided to take a brief break from it! lol) Im using the ATI study guide...Oh my gah! if I didn't wear braces on my teeth I would be bitting my nails like CRAZY!! hehe Are calculators to be used on the exam? or is the computation to be made from your brain? and another thing is are you given enough paper and pencils to figure out math problems? I tend to write really big!
