I'm just a few weeks away from my first semester in the nursing program and am loving all the school supplies with which I get to play. Besides the regular folders and stuff, there's mini-folders and nursing gadgets as well. I wish I had my backpack already so I could pack it!
Who else is enjoying it?
I got very excited about buying my supplies my first year and this year I have decided that I am more interested in saving myself some money and getting a better pair of shoes for clinicals. I have lots of folders, binders, pens, etc. and will only be stocking up on note cards because I use them like crazy. I'm going to be spending the bulk of my school supply money on NCLEX books again. :) Enjoy it, girls and boys!
Oh yeah, the fluorescent stickies... have those.I'm totally a Walmart junkie, though there isn't one for miles around here (SF). Whenever we take a trip to somewhere that has a Walmart, though, it's a definite family excursion! So, by geography I'm a Target junkie.
Target is the ****!! I love it.
ohhhh oh!!!!! Me Me Me ! Im super excited to be buying school supplies!!!!! Yes walmart does have the greatest selection of colors and brands! I felt like i was in heaven. As cheap as their supplies are i still somewhow managed to spend an obscene amount of money on them!!!! I just got my gray littman stethoscope in the mail today and im super excited about that too!
I LOVE those fluorescent note tab thingies! I have some called DocuNotes and I seriously don't know how I did without them before.
Ditto on the RSVP Fine point pens. I have six colors--red, navy blue, baby blue, pink, purple, and green.
One of my most favorite thing is my pencil case that I bought from Office Depot for $1.99 during Back to School sale last year. It literally keeps everything I need in one place. I never lose anything!
For those of you who are highlighter lovers (like me), I recommend Pentel Handy-lines retractable highlighters. I was if-y on the retractables, but when retracted, there is a closing that covers it absolutely shut and the colors are SUPER bright! I hate dark highlighters... I feel like I'm using markers to strike off sentences haha.
I just got my ceil blue littman in the mail a few days ago and I'm so excited about it too!
Wow, I thought I was the only one that wandered the aisles of school/office supplies like this. So great to have company lol.
I also bought the ceil blue litmann. I love it!!! Very cute color.
I did my shopping today, found notebooks for .10 a piece, and stocked up. Thinking of going back to stock up and send some my bfs way. I mean it is very cheap. I had a great job shopping and bought a lot!! And some I probably won't need but oh well, its fun!
If there was a Target in Canada, I'd be a Target junkie too!! I've stopped there when I've gone cross border shopping and love that place too!!
To lainith...shoes...and SCRUBS...my most absolute favorite 'school supplies'!! How could I forget?! There is a store called Marks Work Warehouse and they have a 'scrub club'. Buy any 5 pieces of scrubs and you get the 6th one free! LOVE IT!
I think I have finished shopping! I finally found a planner/calendar I liked with a weekly section as well as monthly section. I got it at Officemax. Picked up a few more 1 subject notebooks, 2 more binders, mechanical pencils, post it flags and some Sharpie Fine Point Pens.
I got my order from Amazon today: Jansport tote bag, bandage scissors, pen light, RN Notes (so cute), Kaplan Anatomy Flash cards, Anatomy coloring books and Saunders NCLEX prep book.
I am finally done right? I have everything thing else already, I think. I was going to get note cards but I have a few packs of white ones. I have some of those pencil cases that go in binders to keep up with my loose stuff.
THe only thing I can think of that I will really need is a lunch bag. Orientation on the 7th cannot get here fast enough.
