I am back for my fourth year working as a school nurse. Urban elementary charter school in Massachusetts. Kids start school Monday. Back to School night is tonight. I have been back since Monday.

Today is the 1st day with all the students. Freshman came yesterday for orientation. (Already had some kid punch a wall .:sarcastic:)

Teachers (and I) started on Monday, which was meetings all day. Tuesday was a prep day.

I've been back since the 20th. Kids here on the 27th.

Kid puked right in the middle of my office Friday; Facilities guy was out. In between all of the heat visits (there was a heat advisory in my area all last week and we have no AC in our school), I was down on my hands and knees, gloved up and cleaning up puke. Fun times.

But I missed y'all.

First day back today with kids. To say its been crazy is an understatement. Between construction, admin change, new staff, etc. Ugh. It'll get better!! Very happy that everyone here is pretty easy to work with and helpful.

Started yesterday. Typical of our school, carnival atmosphere with lots of team building activities. Time to get back into the groove.
