I have all my pre-req's done for the BSN program and am applying this semester (we have till the end of Dec). My GPA is good, science GPA excellent so I am keeping my fingers crosses I can get in.
I'm already getting nervous about it all though!
At my school we have to take 3 pre-nursing classes before we enter the program so in the Spring I am taking (and am excited about them):
Fundamentals of Nursing and Lab
Intro to Nursing and
Development Across the Lifespan (or something like that).
We don't find out if we are accepted until March....long wait.

I will be applying in the Spring semester, and hopefully starting in Fall of 06. My school goes by a point system so GPA doesn't really matter, so I hope that I have enough "points" to get in, but most people dont get in on the first try, but they do at least give you 10 points for applying. Oh and Im getting my AS

I'm applying for the ADN program starting Fall '06. I've taken the NET test, though I'm retaking the reading portion in November, will have all my pre-reqs done or in progress by the time I finish my application, and have some great references lined up. It's my first time applying, so I'm really nervous, but I have a 4.0 GPA and got a competetive score on the NET, so if I do a little better on the reading portion second time around, I should be set. Here's hoping we all get into the programs we're going for!!

Im applying for Fall 2006. It amazes me how far ahead of time you have to send in your app. I fill out an app for Fresno state in November for next fall, and for Fresno city college for next fall. I dont send in my app for CSU stanislaus till Feb. though.
Alllttthhhough, its bitter sweet because unless you have straight A's you probably wont get in. Ahh, why do we bother????
anyway, all I can do is try right? whats the alternative? doing nothing?
I guess every semester's applicant pool is different too, you never know less people may apply that semester.
I guess we can always keep retaking classes until we have straight A's and by then we'll be experts in Anat through Micro over qualified to be nurses- might as well go on to med school!

I'm putting my application in this month. Won't know until Feb if I am in or not. I just found out that they count in this current semesters grades before putting people on the list. Which is good news for me.

I am also applying for Fall of 06. Wrapping up two years worth of pre req's, last one being Chemistry, yuck....! Next semester taking Nutrition, Lifespan, Engl. Comp II and math. We apply in Jan and deadline is May of 06 for the fall semester of nursing school. Only 80 students are allowed in. I keep thinking if I do not get in, what should I pursue outside of nursing?? It is very frustrating wondering if your going to get in and if you don't, what do you do then? I will have well over 60 credits after next semester is done, so half way there to the Bachelor's degree. I don't know if I will keep applying if I do not get in this time. I have been going to school full time for two years and not sure I want to wait too much longer to finish my degree. As it stands now, we have to do 6 semesters in nursing classes, so even though I am going in the program as a Junior at the Univeristy, I will still have 3 more years to go to finish Nursing school. Go figure. How many semesters does everyone else have to finish once they are in the program?
