Have any of you had to wear white pants as mandatory uniform? I do and the problem I am having is that all the pants I can find end up being "see through" underneath! You can clearly see my skin tone under the pants, and my boxers hehe.

Any one have any advice on where to get a higher quality pant?

Landau makes a great pair and they also have the little piping pleaty thing that keeps them looking crisp and professional. May be time to switch to white boxers or white boxer briefs as well.

If you do a search, you will see that this has been covered before several times.

I work with a male Rn and he wears long white boxers under his white pants. Can't see any skin!!

look for whites made for food service....and actually , you might be better off with underwear that nears your skin tone rather than white....lessens the contrast....

Hmm all good suggestions! Thanks! White boxers :uhoh3: Why didnt I think of that lol. Im still learning how to work the site, it didnt even occur to me about the search function! Thanks so much :D

It wasnt a problem till my instructor pointed out while trying not to laugh on the first day of clinical she could see my boxers (bright yellow and red that said sugar daddy) lol. I nearly died of embarassment hehe. I bought a pair of white pants that was KINDA better, but you can still see some color if through them if I wear something darkish. =/ Guess Im going to kmart tommarrow to buy white undies lol

My best friend and I had to wear white pants during clinicals, and would intentionally buck the system by wearing gaudy boxers. He wore penguin boxers, and I wore red heart ones....we started a few conversations with those!!!

I would go with a thicker military or food services pant.

Im just curious to why if my pants were so see through, why didnt anyone tell me LAST term! I have a very interesting assortment of boxers :X Im quite sure it was a running gag to them now that I think about it.

I cant be embarassed though I suppose. Having heart boxers, duckie boxers and other odd funny things musta kept the nursing staff on thier toes as well!

P.s. I found an awesome pair of pants that are SOLID with tons of pockets today. Woot!

I wear Landaus - see through, they are not!

cheers,

Back in the day when we wore all white, I was walking a patient down the hall. As we neared the med cart and one of my co-workers, the patient exclaimed..."Da--, she's celebrating American Heart Month!" (we were on a post-OHS unit). This lady was wearing a red bra w/ white hearts and white panties w/ red hearts under her white jumpsuit!. She may as well have been wearing Reynold's wrap! The Sugar Daddy undies are pretty funny, I have to admit!

Lol :lol2:

and yes, sugar daddy boxers takes the cake of best moments so far :)

Heh. The dress code in my facility specifically addresses underwear and whites.

www.marcusuniform.com has chef's pants.

Look for uniform pants made by "Dickie", heavier twill material. Not to be vulgar or obvious, but the answer to your question as to why you were not informed, the sight was not too pleasing to many viewers for many reasons.

Have a great day.
