I want to work in a major trauma center

I would like to work on a cruise ship or be a traveling nurse for about a year. :onbch:

I think the ER

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Anywhere that will hire me.

I thought that getting my BSN would be helpful in landing a first job, but it seems like nobody is getting a job right now, regardless of the credentials. I'm hoping this will change when I graduate in Dec 2010 or May 2011.

Specializes in Psych..

ER or Psych, although I will take anything that comes my way, considering the job prospects lately. Anyone want to hire a new grad (in May) for a Psych ER department?

Once I get my BSN, I am planning on be commiissioned into the Army Nurse Corps as a LT.

Specializes in Mother Baby & pre-hospital EMS.

In order:

1) L&D or Mother/Baby (postpartum floor). A LDRP floor would be awesome, but I don't know of any in my area. I do realize that it may be hard to get into these floors due to the economy and other reasons, but that is not going to stop me from trying.

2) There is a gynecology/women's med-surg floor in which I did my clinicals last semester, and I enjoyed it.

3) Recently I have also become slightly interested in these areas: peds oncology and PICU. I never got to be in these settings during clinical, and I wish I had, to see if I liked it or not.

UCSF NICU. I would give my left arm to work at the UCSF NICU.

Specializes in ER.

working with out a left arm would be hard :)

I really want to work in the ER, but I will work ANYWHERE they are hiring

Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, or NICU. Or possibly ER. BUt L&D is definitely my first choice...
