   Do hospitals consider an externship as experience? My dream job is L&D and I'm hoping to get an externship next summer. I'm REALLY hoping it will get my foot in the door in a dept. that, from what I understand, isn't easy to get into....

    Congratulations!!! I just found out that I was accepted as well and will be starting in the Fall, also!! I, too, was so excited to find out as I was not expecting to hear this early either..... much luck to you!!
