Where do you want to work once you're done

just curious?

er and or.

wards are boring..

Since I already have a surg. tech. degree and soon my nursing I'm hoping for a job in the OR. I also love psych. Hospitals around me have a hiring freeze so LTC may be my calling for now.

Cardiac PICU :redbeathe

Medical surgical, mixure of everything and a huge learning experience...

I heading towards peds trauma or the or hopefully at a pediatric hospital

Specializes in LTC, Orthopedics.

I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to work in a Veteran's Hospital. A lot of members of my family have gone into the service. My dad, brother, grandfathers, cousins, aunts, and some in-laws have all served in wars. I want to do something for them, give them something back for serving their country. My little brother is leaving in April for Iraq, and I just feel by working at a Veteran's Hospital that would be the ultimate way for honoring them.

Specializes in Critical Care, PACU.

I myself have a soft spot in my heart for the VA. ^ I'd like to get into oncology, maybe a cardiac or neuro ICU/stepdown or even hospice. But when it comes time to graduate, I don't think I'd be picky. I'd be thankful to be offered a job with the way this economy is headed.

Specializes in Critical Care, Clinical Documentation Specialist.

I want to be in trauma, next would be ER. Med-surg I think comes in third. Maybe its my ADD but I love lots of activity, changing situations and a bunch of stress on top of it all. Geez...I sound like a nutcase, lol.

Specializes in MS, ED.

1. ER

2. OR

I also am interested in oncology and hospice care.

Best,

Southern

My top pick would be in Peds at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Love them!!!! They do miracles there.

Since I have to stay in Michigan, I would really like to be in PICU or Peds ENT/Surgical out at Mott.

ICU: I think I will prefer having one or two very acute patients better than lots of not-so-acute patients. #1: Neuro ICU, #2: CVICU, #3: SICU. I would also like OR... But like most have mentioned, with this economy, I'll take what I can get! I also know that many hospitals require experience for ICU and won't hire new grads :(

OB 100% BUT I know I can't get a job there so I have an interview for the Respiratory floor on Tue.
