Where to keep scrubs at home

Published

Is it wise to keep scrubs (clean ones of course) in the same closet with your regular clothes? I wash them separately but I never really thought about were to keep them. My shoes always stay outside or in my car (bagged with lysol). Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated, and Thank You.:D

Hmm - I guess I never thought of it that way...they all go in the drawer or closet....

Scrubs are just uniforms, and there is no reason that they cannot be kept with your regular clothes. You still wear your regular clothes out in the public and can come into contact with any of the same germs that you can find at work or can find you.

When you come home from work, hopefully what you were wearing goes into the dirty clothes hamper or into the washing maching; so no issue where the garments go afterwards.

i just wash them and put them in my uniform area in my closet ... i have a huge walk in closet and i have an area for my scubs... i just hang them up and put them in that area...

Mine stay in the basement hung up in the laundry room after I get them out of the dryer. It's less clothes to put away! I wouldn't have a problem with them in my closet, I'm just lazy I guess. Just the way I've always done it.

Clean scrubs can be placed anywhere. After all, they're clean. After having spent 30 minutes in a clothes dryer on medium to high heat, I'm assured that even the most stubborn microorganisms are as good as dead.

Once they're clean, they go where my other clothes go: the closet.

Shoes stay in garage!

Wash with the rest of my clothes, then closet. Of course, babies have much less ick to deal with, so I don't mind washing them with my regular laundry. Shoes stay by the front door, but inside. My 400sqft studio doesn't have a lot of extra space!

Yeah, scrubs in closet.

Shoes...well as much as I love my Danskos--I lysol the heck out of them and keep them out of living area. I agree, trunk of car is a good idea. Discovered mysterious brown smudges on my shoes--without having witnessed how they got there...eeeyewwwww

No reason scrubs can't go with the rest of the clothes. I keep my shoes at work, no telling what is on them.

thanks for all your prompt responses :redpinkhe

The correlation between your nickname and this question is really humorous to me. LOL
