Need advice on creating a resume
I am in my final week of LPN school and part of the program was to have a the school prepare resumes. When I received mine I was quite disappointed to find that the 15 years I spent in the business and customer service world was totally eliminated to 1 line listing the company name and the duration of time I worked there. Would it be appropriate to add some of my previous experience (esp my customer service) back into the resume. After all, nursing is a people job. I also have alot of computer experience does it count for anything? Please help. Any feedback good or bad will be welcome. I am finding jobs I want to apply for (I graduate on 10/9) I don't have my boards scheduled yet but am hoping to possible get a GPN job in the meantime. Any Advice??????????

"LPNs should be done away with altogether"
I too am in LPN school and do not think my niche is LTC. I plan to go on to RN school because my options will be much greater. I look at it as LPN just being the first part..I can work as an LPN while attending school part time for my RN. That way I will still be a nurse. LPN's have options in clinics, and offices as well. Don't sell the LPN short I have worked with many (being a CNA) that have great knowledge and are terrific at what they do!!!

Where to keep scrubs at home
Is it wise to keep scrubs (clean ones of course) in the same closet with your regular clothes? I wash them separately but I never really thought about were to keep them. My shoes always stay outside or in my car (bagged with lysol). Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated, and Thank You.

Considering Nursing as a career
Take it from me....just do it!!!! I am 42 years old and have been in the business world since I was in my twenties. I am currently going through CNA training and will start nursing school in October. Don't wait!!!! If you feel it calling you then by all means do it. Life is too short. If you wait you will be always asking yourself, "What if?" Try starting out with volunteer work if you are unsure. You are young so have time. Just trust your heart.
