Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

My thought exactly. LOL!
Canada Winter is my fave so far.....oh and Marijuana!
I was wondering when Renesmee would pop up. Poor kid.
Felinny (pronounced Felony)
Ryden Dangerous Lee
Sparkle Lynn
Not, I'm not kidding.
Lately it has not been the weird names but the strange spellings of common names... Jaysyn for example... I keep my mouth shut when I want to say... do you want ppl pronouncing and spelling your childs name incorrectly for all of his life????

i love it! if my to-be wife wouldn't smack me across the face with a frying pan i would name my son this. hats off to the father who pulled this one off. and poor kid, haha
I have strange named kids in my own family and amongst friends. My 11 year old nephew is named Sahvere (yes, pronounced exactly like the word severe. His mother, my boyfriend's sister said she named him that due to the way her life was severely changed after becoming a mother), her second son's name is Justus (Justice spelled differently), her best friend has a daughter named Symmetria and I went to school with a December and Sunshine. Oh, and one of my friend's dated a woman named Nova and almost married her. His last name is Cain.
