What's the weirdest baby name?

Specialties Ob/Gyn Nursing Q/A

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

This was such a toss up: I have to give you my 4 favorites --

1. Levi Toby Roosevelt Malachi (added to last name)!!!

2. Epiphany (teenage mom - not sure she knew what this meant or if she just had one literally or figuratively)

3. Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards)

4. Sharpei (talked the dad out of naming this after showing pic of puppy)

It is never a dull moment here!

Sharpeimom: absolutely adorable sharpei - my favorite puppy because I love their wrinkles and soft skin --- unfortunately this baby did not remind me of the puppies...... lol. Bella is just absolutely cuddley!!!! No disrespect intended.

absolutely no offense taken! none at all! my comment was intended to be humorous. that's a disadvantage of the internet, i guess. you can't see the other person's face.

Lots of Nevaeh's here

I know this is a long, old thread, but I have a couple naive, sincere questions-

If everyone on here has seen an lemongelo, orangelo, female & la-a, how have I never met one???

Also, arent these all violations of hippa? Or would you have to give a last name too?
