We all have that one injury we see that just bothers us. We can see so many different things yet there's one that is over the top. For me it's nails. My left nail was pulled up on my thumb yet not all the way to displace it. Gross.
I worked in a trauma unit. The things that made me grit my teeth and hate life were open skull fractures, any injury where the bones poke through, leaking eyeballs, and road rash.
It doesn't matter how you dress hamburger flesh. It's gonna necrotize. Ugh.
Gross deformities secondary to fractures give me the heebs, too.
I would rather... have a root canal than have a disclocated joint. Especially if I have to watch it go back in. **shivers**
Eyes and teeth. Teeth especially. We once had a teenager who had been kicked in the face by a horse.... all her teeth were gone in the front... but she had braces, so.... they just dangled there.... God,I'm feeling sick talking about it....
Ugh...as a school nurse I see a lot of teeth/gum injuries and knocked out teeth but this one sounds rough. Not sure I could handle that one myself!
We had a sweet 20 something get kicked by a horse, we thought 6-11 had been fractiured at the gingival line. Nope. They had all been pushed up into her palate. Took a LOT of work to bring them all down, endo them, bracket them, etc. The yare BEAUTIFUL now

Bones sticking out. Don't ask me to watch that replay from a few years ago of the guy in NCAA March Madness whose leg snapped in half in the middle of game.
And eyeballs.
I can do most anything else.
