Ours last year was a Walmart card for $50. Probably the same this year.
Oh man...I don't know what mine will be yet...but my hubby just got his company Christmas bonus and it is going to be great!!!!!!!
We get to have dinner on a river boat cruise on the Willamette River that hosts the annual "Christmas Ships", which are people that light up their boats in all sorts of fun ways and travel the river! This is a very very costly event, and when you think of 100's of employees and having to book the entire ship for three days (so all employees can attend)..that is way cool!
They also give out great gifts and prizes at their parties! Gorgeous Christmas ornaments, totes, jackets (Columbia sportswear!), engraved frames or champaigne flutes, not to mention the professional photographer there to take your Christmas picture free of charge!
Then typically we all meet up somewhere afterwards and party! Always a year long well awaited time for us all! WOW, this years is going to be so fun!!!!! I already have my dress! WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!

Columbia sportswear? I guess you must work for an HCA facility.
Bonus?
Now that I'm a nurse at the hospital, we get free dinner in the cafeteria if we work the holiday, and time and a half. No bonus.
When I did medical transcription for a doctor, he always gave us $100 gift certificates to the factory outlet mall, then paid our motel room in Lincoln city (2 hrs away) and our meals so we could go spend the certificate.
I work in a small brain injury home. we get a 50$ gift certificate to the honey baked ham store. and cash which increases each year that you work there. last year I got 400. we also have a great christmas party with all the residents. everyone brings their children and the owners buy the children gifts from santa. Great place to work

It's not bad, but it's not as good as it sounds - believe me, I have to work hard for it! 10% is the maximum possible, and it's performance based. If I don't meet my objectives, it starts dropping.
I do think it's good to reward people for jobs well done. Unfortunately, given the number of nurses around, I can't imagine the healthcare honchos bothering to try and keep us around. Retention of staff is one thing corporate world does well.
