My favority is the AACNs NTI_National Teaching Institute. Several days of learning critical care topics and lots of fun. I try to go every couple of years. I find it re-energizing to get together with a bunch of nurses all sharing their views and learning about new topics and insights into old issues........probably why I enjoy this BB as well...

I have enjoyed the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses Congress. It's just so amazing to see a thousand Ortho nurses in one place! Sometimes we feel a little isolated.

My favorite is the Perinatal Progress Conference held q year here. It's an all-day event with topics ranging from post-partum to nursery and labor issues. It's a great way to stay current on the recent literature.
Thanks for responding....I am looking at attending a conference this year....and I want one that is informative and also fun.....My current position covers alot of ground....and I am looking at a conference in critical care in Las Vegas in April 2003. I have also looked at case management and quality management. Love to hear more..........!!!!!

TRENDS Conference's held in Philadelphia: Critical Care, Med Surg, Psych hosted by MCP and Nsg groups. Used to attend Critical Care Conference in Las Vegas in February hosted by Critical Care doc's group. ANA Conventions often have interesting presentations.

There's usually a big IT conference in Vegas every year: the ComDex convention (if you're into computers). I'm trying to get my husband to go on the company's bill.

I really enjoy the New Clinical Drug Evaluation Unit conference put on by NIMH. All the cutting edge psych research, including some done by nurses (plus you get to laugh at the psychiatrists wearing shorts and sandals with black socks).

I agree, Shay! I would like to attend a Michelle Murray conference in the very near future...it's finding the $$$ and the time.....Since being perdiem, I don't generally get much in the way of money for conference attendance......but if she comes up to Seattle, I am THERE, babaaaaaaaaaay!
