Any big plans for the summer, school nurses?
I am working as the charge nurse at a summer camp for adults and children with developmental and physical disabilities.
I am living at the camp in a pretty sweet cabin with a big front deck overlooking the lake. My morning commute is a 1.5 minute walk to the Wellness Center at camp. And my kids and dog can stay with me.
Have an awesome time!!
I do per diem at a local LTC and it is pretty busy for me as I can fill in for vacations.....and speaking of vacation, I am headed to Europe this summer. Have friends I am staying with in Liechtenstein and Switzerland and will be by myself for 4 days in Italy. I do not speak oa word of Italian, except Vino!!!!So blessed! I have worked hard to pay for this and fortunately several things fell into place nicely for me financially as well. Soo excited!!
This is in response to Jen-Elizabeth, BSN, RN's post. How interesting is that? I am from St.Kitts/Nevis. I am sure you will enjoy your trip. Have fun!

I take off my nursing hat for the summer. For two weeks I work as technical director for a youth theater camp. Then I'm spending 6 days in St. Kitts/Nevis. But moving I am going to relax and take my dog all the places with me to enjoy the sunshine after the epic New England winter.

We have a boat that we did not put in the water this year. So sad. Between my new job, my younger son's lacrosse schedule and my older son leaving for college, it's not worth it.
So, I'm changing my plans and going to Italy with NutmeggeRN!!! Hooray!!!
Sshhhhh, don't tell her.
