Any big plans for the summer, school nurses?
I am working as the charge nurse at a summer camp for adults and children with developmental and physical disabilities.
I am living at the camp in a pretty sweet cabin with a big front deck overlooking the lake. My morning commute is a 1.5 minute walk to the Wellness Center at camp. And my kids and dog can stay with me.

I am just going to enjoy the summer I might fill in for a vacation or 2 at the office I worked at previously, but just enjoying the time off with my 4 year old for the most part.
I hope everyone has a great summer!

I do per diem at a local LTC and it is pretty busy for me as I can fill in for vacations.....and speaking of vacation, I am headed to Europe this summer. Have friends I am staying with in Liechtenstein and Switzerland and will be by myself for 4 days in Italy. I do not speak oa word of Italian, except Vino!!!!
So blessed! I have worked hard to pay for this and fortunately several things fell into place nicely for me financially as well. Soo excited!!

I will be doing a few PRN shifts at my previous employments - LTC center and Home Health. But mostly I'll be taxi cab to my 3 kids and all their summer activities. And of course, I will be obsessing and getting nervous about starting my new job in August!!
You are starting in school nursing correct? Best job I have ever had, been here 21 years!!
No doubt!!!! Gonna be in Florence!! cannot wait to do the tourist thing!!!

Starting a second job, which will eventually be FFS home care. The orientation takes most of the summer. Then see my son off to college (*sob*) and football season starts! I work 5 days over the summer here for sports.
