as inspired by another thread, here's a motivational question! i guess this is more of a question for those of us who haven't had a real career before nursing....
what will you do with your first "real" paycheck?
i'm going straight to the salon. new cut, highlights, facial, mani, pedi...the works!
then, straight to the mall with my plastic because for the first time in my life it won't be just for "emergencies" anymore!
i can't wait!
ok. first i won't have to pay back loans right away because i'll be taking classes toward my bsn soooo....
- thou shalt have a day alllll to myself to get my hair done royally
- a manicure and pedicure even if there is 6ft of snow on the ground and no reason to show my toes. ($500)
- eyebrows arched
- treat myself to a microdermabrasion and chemical peel to reveal new beautiful radiantly glowing skin from the years of neglect since i have been in nursing school. ($300)
- new scrubs and nursing gear (shoes, undershirts, cute pins, watch) ($250)
- a few things for my 2 children ( outfits, shoes, a toy they pick or video game $350 )
- treat my husband to dinner at an upscale ristorante' ($200)
- buy plenty of cute workout clothes so that i can work off the 40+ lbs i put on while in nursing school ($150)
- fill up my gas tank (past f) ($50-$60)
- grocery shop for healthy food that i can take to work for lunch($70)
- help my husband pay bills with whats left (i'll start off with bills on the next paycheck :>)
now for paycheck # 2..... to be continued
completely blowing my first check on everything i've missed out on since 2005 and treating myself (priceless)

Oooo, I want a silver charm bracelet. Savage, but I need to hang all my 'trophies', so I can look at them if I ever feel swamped again. I want some tiny silver coins, and I shall wite on them the major events, like marriage, birth of our first kid, graduation of nursing school complete with pin, the day I became a citizen, the birthdate of my goddaughter, and a special big one with C9H13NO3
