Izzy thanks for your stats... Yes I know how the results are calculated... My class started taking the nclex July 1st so we are not in the current stats posted on mbon.. Nursing school is what you make it... You have people that come from schools with the best scores who don't know jack and you have people that come from a school with low scores that are excellent nurses. When it all bulls down its all about passing the nclex.... You can be an A student and fail the nclex and be a C student and pass... Its all about understanding the test question and having a strong foundation of core nursing information....

FYI i would go for my BSN anyway! A lot of hospitals in the area that are magnet won't hire a AA degree nurse. Food for thought!

I am a graduate of Coppin state class of 09.. Yes the scores are bad for the class of 2008.... But as far as my class the score is actually 92% ish. this won't be posted until next Jun 2010. The scores are always a yr behind. Coppin is an excellent school!! I find myself out shining other nursing students from other schools. Coppin doesn't spoon feed you nothing you have to go out and seek it. I am thankful for that because now on the unit if i dont know something i go and seek the answer myself and don't panic!!! Every school has its ups and downs...

You dont need Kaplan you got God and content! i will pray for you!

I say HURST all the way!!! she go over core content! that's what u need to pass the exam content!! I did the online review and it was GREAT!! yes some of her questions are easy but its to bulid up ur knowledge base! her mock nclex was the the KEY to my sucess to PASS the NCLEX!! let me mention I took Kaplan my first time and FAILED!!! got my money back and PASSED with Aunt Marlene!! I would also invest in that Kaplan 2009 strategy book but not the course unless ur content is on point but any who Hurst is cheaper $300 bucks!! Trust me u need to brush up on content cause it u know the content u can answer any question that come ur way!! PM is u need to!

A review resource is what you make out of it. For some exam cram is great and some exam cram sucks! Let me say this re-learn your content first! I had to learn that the hard way!! Once you learn you content any question you tackle will be a breeze!!! :specs: my motto is, "you can do questions all day until you are blue in the face if you don't know your content or have an idea, you will have a higher chance of anwsering the question wrong"
