Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

It's tough to make this story short. Basically the name Thumper was given to me when I started working in the ED (I did something stupid). It used to irritate me but now it makes me laugh. No, it has nothing to do with a little male bunny.

WOW, earlier this morning there was only four pages, so after work I was going to personally reply to each response. To my surprise there is currently 10 pages of your guys responses!!! Sorry if I don't get to personally reply to each of your usernames, but thank you for responding to this thread. I really enjoy seeing what inspired you to come up with your unique and individualize usernames :)

Definition: "A rivethead is a person associated with the industrial music scene. Although industrial music emerged in the post-punk period, the identifiable stereotype of an industrial fan emerged in the 1990s. Dress style is typically militaristic."

My username is a combination of two words originated from the Holy Bible. Nathanael is my favorite biblical character....i shortened it to Nathan....I was born in January, since January is the first month of the year, it is synonymous to any beginning, just like Genesis, the first book of the bible. I came up with Nathangenesis.

For all of you youngsters out there, Cherry Ames was a fictional character. She appeared in a series of books for young girls, in the last century. She came of age in the 1940's and was a nurse. What a nurse! I followed her, from her student nursing days, through the second world war and beyond. She was my role model and my hero. She inspired me to be a nurse. I was born in 1949, so Cherry was like a big sister to be admired and imitated. I remember her fondly and thank her for encouraging me in my own career( even if it was way less glamorous than hers!).:[anb]:
