Nurses Humor

Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

I worked home health/private duty with a pediatric patient that had severe physical and developmental delays. Part of her IEP was to work on motor control so we did a lot of hand over hand art. One day we were using glitter when her arm jerked away due to a spasm and I ended up with glitter all over myself. I thought I had cleaned up pretty well, but when I got home my 3 year old wanted to know why I had glitter in my hair. I gave her a simple explanation and she responded, "oh you're a glitter nurse!" The name stuck and it makes a great username.

I had 2 Galapagos tortoises for a number of years. They looked like big round rocks moving around the back yard. So I became Walkingrock! ?

It's cool to see who is still here. I saw your post on like page 1 or 2 when this thread started!
I'm not a nurse. I wasn't an RT when I joined. I am the mom of vent-dependent child (who has since passed away) and I continue to foster trach and trach/vent babies so I am VentMommy.

I kind of hate my username, but made it up quickly when I first signed up thinking I wouldn't be on here much, but here I am a few years later wishing I had used a different name but not wanting to delete all my history on this one. oh well.

I like cats. Especially the Tri color crazy cats.
Mr.Murse, you can change your username and keep your data, just not the name recognition.

You may want to rethink that... You should try to remain anonymous on t'interwebs in case something is said and employers, family, patients etc find it.

I never post anything about my job, but I never really thought about anyone looking me up... thank you for the reminder! I did change it! ?

Good day. My username, " Divine- LPN,BSN" is a representation of love, followed by my credentials. I want to remain kind and loving with solid credentials to back any information that I present to others. My nursing skills/knowledge are more respectable and reliable if people see that I am well educated ...
P.S. Here's a funny joke that I found, courtesy of nursebuff.com....
What’s It Called When A Hospital Runs Out Of Maternity Nurses?

I love to knit and I hold the yarn in my right hand. That style of knitting is known as English style or throwing the yarn. I am also a RN and the word yarn has rn right in there. I thought it was kind of cute. Voila.
