I want to read about medications that are nornally given by nurses, what do you normally deal with on your floor? I'm hoping to see a common drug list, but who knows...

PO - lopressor, zestril, protonix, coumadin, xanax
IVPB - flagyl, vanco, cefepime, mag, potassium
IVP - lasix, solu-medrol, protonix, dilaudid, morphine
Drips - insulin, heparin, cardizem, NTG
Subcut - insulins, lovenox, heparin

I work on a medical oncology unit. Top 5 are probably:
(1) nexium
(2) heparin (subq)
(3) potassium
(4) valtrex (prophylaxis for our BMT pts)
(5) tie: Tylenol/benadryl
