Wishing a sick man good health is gas lighting…We all don’t think Trump is a proper “pillock”.  The man has a massive following for a reason.  Stop bashing the man, he is out of office.  I don’t know what everyone’s obsession with him is.  I don’t bring up Obama in every single post.

I've been around this forum long enough to know this happens.  After Obama was elected it was "but Bush....", and the same when Trump was elected..."But Obama......."

I do wish we didn't discuss him so much, but it's hasn't been a year.  It doesn't mean "everyone" has an "obsession with him". He's just so damn interesting and he puts himself in the spotlight as he's campaigning.  He has a rally in Alabama next week.  A state with no ICU beds due to covid I might add.  He's still current events.

He has a massive following because a bunch of plonkers with huge insecurity complexes get taken in by him. I actually love how he's able to con you guys repeatedly! 

If he wasn't such a consummate criminal, I think his disruption of govt was brilliant, except he didn't do it out of insight, just that he is an inveterate criminal! 

I think govt is a swamp and we need disrupters like AOC, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar etc alongside measured politicians like Pelosi, Abrams and Schumer etc.

Actually I think this poster is pretty typical and representative of "his people" which I suppose you mean Trump supporters and conservatives.

He's all about freedom.  He was and is against lockdowns and mandatory mask mandates.  He doesn't care if businesses require masks, but is adamant that schools not.

To say he's an "avid anti-vaxxer" isn't quite true.  He is one of the main reasons the elderly population and nursing homes got the vaccine in large numbers...over 85% vaccinated.  However, his "freedom" stance includes a state to not allow businesses such as cruise lines require vaccines.  He fails in some areas but it's a mixed bag about vaccines.

You're cherry picking what folks to pay attention to.  Trump has had his conservative critics, and Obama had those that in their eyes he never did wrong.  Including some right here in these threads.

You didn't even lambast him about the "lie of the year ".  You said he was "naive".

Frankly, to call either one's supporters a cult is ludicrous.
