Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!

He made it a political message directly attached to the governor's political affiliations. He did speak some pro-vaccine words but the bulk of his behavior is pretty Trumpian.
I wonder what this will end up costing Florida residents...
For what its worth, I spent 4 months in FL doing mobile vaccine clinics in mostly poorer neighborhoods. My company went to FL, because that was the best contract for them. Me, just one nurse, made $5 an hour more then my ER job, had my own room at a Residence Inn, a daily per diem, my own rental car, travel expenses to FL and back, and a five figure completion bonus. Presumably, after all that, my company still made a profit. We did some FEMA sponsored events, but 90% were sponsored by the State of Florida.
I'll also say, it's not just Trumpsters not wanting the vaccine. I vividly remember back when vaccine was in shorter supply, going into a McDonalds trying to get a few folks to take the last doses of a vial that had been opened. Several black people shouted at me about how I was trying to kill them.
Remember in election season when Democrat leaders were saying they wouldn't trust a vaccine developed under the Trump administration? No doubt in my mind that those words cost lives.

No one has asserted that it is only conservatives who are not vaccinated.
Many people said then and continue to say now that they did not and do not trust Trump relative to this pandemic. Trump is a corrupt liar.

It's really tough Beerman to get people to see the light. If it wasn't for their gene pool and knowing that in the future many of those same people will change their minds with additional knowledge and experience, I would say let them suffer the consequences. They will also be able contribute to society and who knows be the hero. You just have to save everyone because no one can predict how they will contribute in the future.
Good on you by the way for doing such a difficult job! ???

Truth. For some people it's not a decision based on party line, many of the people refusing the vaccine don't really care much or know much about politics.
Democrat stronghold California is only 63% vaccinated, not impressive after all this time, and in their highly vaccinated counties cases are still rising.
Florida actually despite our dreadful situation with covid is vaccinated at a higher rather than half the country. The Governor is very much anti-mask and just today deflected Biden to immigrants spreading covid at the border than than address his anti-mask stance, but he has been a proponent of the vaccine. With 85% of elders vaccinated you can't claim Trumpsters are all against it.
Still it can't be denied and is proven that republican strong holds here have lower vaccination rates. I'm sorry I can't source the study because I'm signing off, but I have sourced it before. It also can't be denied that many of the people spreading covid misinformation are Republicans like the cook I posted in one of these threads and MTG.

I don't remember any Dem "leaders" saying any such thing with the exception of K. Harris. Who else?
I know for a fact that if trump or anyone in his previous cabinet had anything to do with any of the vaccines, I WOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN IT!
Mama says, Stupid is, as stupid does!
Seriously, we know that they were criminals and greedy, BUT, was anyone educated? ANYONE?
I have never, ever, ever, seen anyone who is more likely to lead you into trouble than Trump! And, I am not being mean or because I don't like him! This guy is the walking billboard of the kind of people your parents tells you to avoid!
No barn door horse bolting, he's lit like a bonfire re, I'm a criminal! From the hair, dress and tan ( Arrogance and Vanity), Speech (Boastful and Ignorant), He displays pride, covetousness, lust, gluttony, envy, anger, and sloth! The seven deadly Sins. Very few people have even more than three! HE HAS SEVEN!
Now consider the character's of the people who were attracted to him?

Quite a bit of people including the scientific community which Democrats tended to listen to. Trump promised a vaccine before the election and everyone scoffed, including the scientific community, and we listened to them and highly doubted it.
When it came out there was a lot of hesitancy because it came out too soon, but for the most part people rejoiced. Biden thanked the Trump administration and Democrats changed their tune and lined up.
It was Trump's finest hour and he should have done so much more in getting people vaccinated by the way of promoting it. It would have been an about face for the most part because he downplayed it and other "cures" so much. But still he could have got vaccinated in public, toured and promoted the vaccine, even stroked his ego about it and went out with a bang.
Instead he chose to focus on the fantasy that the election was rigged and he was the true President.
All this is water under the bridge. We have to address the situation today instead of looking backwards. The president and governors, particularly those in the South have huge problems with vaccine hesitancy and the Delta variant. Lets get this done together.

Anyone knows what happened to Mike Pence's fly? Did trump pardon it?
