Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!
This is not Karma, Graham has long been a proponent of the vaccine and is clearly still promoting the vaccine and glad states he's gotten vaccinated and that his symptoms are mild. But as a Trump supporter in the past he was part of the problem I suppose.
What worries me is that anti-vaxers are taking looking at the breakthrough cases and saying "it doesn't work" instead of looking at say here in Florida where we've just reached a record number of hospitalizations ever and seeing that 95% of them are unvaccinated.

I hope you now see DeSantis for what he is? He's a very ambitious, devious guy whose image is more important than lives.

He's a Trump protégée. I've long acknowledged that.
Florida leads the nation in children's hospitalizations and he's hell bent on not requiring masks, or as he calls them "muzzles", for children in schools.
I don't have a stake in his anti-mask stance but I will acknowledge that it's not his fault that Floridans are too stupid to get vaccinated and now we're the epicenter. He's been pro-vaccine from the start.
Still is response to the current crisis, and I say crisis in that it's worst than it's ever been here, is lacking. 2020 wasn't this bad and he just wants it to go away with his head in the sand.
Quotethe state is trending in the wrong direction in almost every other measurable Covid-19 category. Last week, Florida reported 110,477 new cases, which is a nearly 600 percent increase from the 15,998 new cases reported just four weeks earlier. Over the past month, the statewide positivity rate has jumped from 5.3 to 18.1 percent.
The lead story on Fox, the most important story of the moment in the world, is some Democrat in RI (a minor player in the Democratic world no one heard of until now) making a vile tweet. I agree it's vile and don't blame them for giving her publicity.

Of course this would be the story, not the deaths of unvaccinated all over the US! Trump run TV/Fox Noise won't discuss that there are way more cases in states led by pro Trump governors' anti-vaccinations, anti-masking, and no support for social distancing rhetoric, policies, and laws. For example, Florida is the most impacted state for the Delta Variant. Florida is #1 for hospitalized children. We know kids under 12 are innocent and unfortunately defenseless, so their irresponsible ignorant governors (I.e. DeSantis<- GOP Trump supporting LOSER) should be held to account!

But it will be his fault because he is the fellow who made the rules for the state. He's the guy that fund raised on ridiculing Fauci and the vaccination. He made it a political message directly attached to the governor's political affiliations. He did speak some pro-vaccine words but the bulk of his behavior is pretty Trumpian.
I wonder what this will end up costing Florida residents...
GOP senators feud over cryptocurrency plan as lawmakers seek funding for infrastructure deal
By Jeff Stein
https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2021/08/03/crypto-bitcoin-infrastructure-portman/
It sounds like the republicans will support the infrastructure plans and will crash the agreement over the pay structure. That will give them campaign language.
QuoteTargeting cryptocurrencies — which have relatively little political clout in Washington — emerged last week as a possible compromise after Republicans ruled out taxing the rich and more aggressive IRS pursuit of tax cheats.
If the plan is weakened by industry pushback, the deficit impact of the package overall would increase, possibly imperiling its already tenuous support among many Republicans.
QuoteMany supporters of cryptocurrency trading are open to requiring the major exchanges — such as Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency platform — to report transactions to the IRS. Taxpayers are already supposed to report these transactions to the IRS, but having a third party provide the information to the IRS as well could deter avoidance. The measure could also serve as a consumer protection, given that the 1099 forms also have to be provided to the trader.
“It is a meaningful step in the normalization of crypto as an asset class and a belief there will be substantial trading of it for the next decade,” said Aaron Klein, a former treasury official now at the Brookings Institution, a D.C. think tank.

I get that but it still on Floridians for being so foolish. Many support him. It's on them. Without support he'd have no voice.

Their coverage of the Covid today revolves around "Media silent on bombshell Wuhan lab report as GOP lawmaker sounds alarm: ‘Greatest cover-up in human history’
The story about Florida leading in children's hospitalizations made the news hear, but it's 0.76 children per 100,000 which is too much if it's your child but apparently not enough for much coverage where we lead the nation in just about every other category regarding covid.
Fox of course has changed their headline to the Cuomo charges and another story about what they call Cuomo News Network (CNN).
It's the main headline over at CNN as well. It's a big story.

To follow up. Here's a foolish Floridian. At least he's wearing a mask.

If that report is true, it tells you so much about the Gop and RNC! Imagine the people who read that nonsense prompting him to write that drivel in the first place? If there wasn't a market, he wouldn't write it!
It's like they are an alien species! How do you get so far down the rabbit hole?
