It's the same sort of gaslighting that goes on with the GOP. For some reason they don't realize that they are being recorded for posterity and they will be played back! Do you trust the people around you who gaslights you or don't take responsibility for their actions?
You seem confused. How was my post defending him?
You keep spouting off comments about indictments and prison time. I'll be sure to remember, and you might want to in mind how that will affect how we view your comments in the future.

Funny is it? Is it funny in that culture war Trumpublican way or is it funny in conservictim Trumplethinskin way? Speaking of exaggeration and confabulation, have you heard about how Trump is going to be reinstated by August...or maybe he'll be appointed SOTH..?
Maybe it's as funny a former president insisting that his electoral loss was the result of cheating...after he tried really hard to cheat...and then attempted a coup to maintain power that he lost.

Are you saying that he's innocent? That the justice Dept and AGs, are politically motivated and all the previous lawsuits that he settled was just bad legal advice he received? That he's a good man and a good role model?
Why do you think he's got about another 1000+ lawsuits still remaining to deal with from the previous people he's swindled over the years?

Deflection away form the topic you quoted aside, I'm trying to find examples of liberal press saying this and I'm good with Google and all I'm finding recently is the press reporting that it's his organization that might have some looming indictments.
Edited. Never mind, when I changed "indicted" to "jail"

CSPAN Survey Presidential Historians
Looks like experts on the subject don't agree with republicans that Trump is the greatest president ever...they did seem to agree that he is/was a persuader.

I love that he's like that and so very grateful that we still have people like that in politics. But, you wouldn't send someone like me to fight your wars who's totally repulsed by killing.
You need an equally vindictive player following Trump to go after the gang of criminals he assembled to rape this country and murder so many people. You need to send a thief to catch a thief!

Totally disagree. We need some sanity back in the White House.

I tend to disagree. I believe that we all benefit from compassionate, moral and humble characteristics in our top leadership more than we benefit from leadership that is vindictive and/or thief like. We'll never have a perfect person representing us in our government, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't represent the best of us rather than the worst. To the best of each individual's capacity. Character matters.

In an ideal world, maybe. But Blackstone and Plutarch before him, If you choose to live in society then you must follow the laws of the society or leave the society behind.
It's the cornerstone of a legal world. Why are there so few thieves in Saudi Arabia, they take their hands off publicly. Why is there so few drug dealers in Singapore? Extremely harsh penalties. Trump and his cronies are lifelong criminals who believed they were impervious to the law because they had been committing crimes for so long.
Why don't we engage in tax evasion or bribing public officials etc? Consequences! Just like us. Politicians should be trained licensed and be able to lose their licenses for improper behaviors.
After getting rid of the filibuster and stacking the Supreme Court and passing the laws to ensure compliance by future law makers and govt officials, then return to decency. I saw the new video by the NY times of the Insurrection today and I shuddered. It was that scary! None of these people in govt should be allowed to walk away. They rely on us being decent and lenient. If thieves and drug dealers knew that the penalties would be amputation and public flogging etc, you would immediately see those crimes plummet.
Don't spare the rod and spoil the child, an atheist once said ???.

I would tend to agree that white collar crime has a more lenient penalty than say a drug dealer.
However, I don't think these criminals rely on that. They rely on the arrogance that they won't get caught.
You certainly can advocate for tougher penalties to curb these crimes. Also, just like I say to those who say Biden "stole the election" and that Trump is the true winner, I say "show me the proof" and follow fair and due process. Otherwise you're just blowing hot air.
