What do you think about with current News and Opinions?

Something to understand what nurses think about re the Current News and their opinions!

So I wonder if Trump is going to pull his comet watching, screw his eyes shut routine when the indictments hits his business? ????

I can never forget that level of stupidity from a sitting American president no less! Especially with the consequences. It tells you all you need to know about him.

On the one hand I can see her point that men can't be fired as easily because they can't get pregnant and rule isn't applied equally.  On the other hand if you lie with the devil and then complain when the devil asks for his dues you can't complain.  I also don't have patience with gay people that work in Catholic schools and then whine they are being treated unfairly when they are fired it comes out they are gay.  Duh

Although I do applaud any efforts to make legal discrimination in the same of "religious freedom" illegal in America.

Does anyone worry that Biden's age and ignorance about social media despite having great advisors, might limit his understanding to the dangers of the glut of misinformation bandied about now?

Supreme Court ruling, facebook?

Fox? Oan? The republicans themselves?

I keep feeling that he's an old school nice politician playing with liars and sociopaths especially re the bipartisan agenda. 18 months goes quickly! He needs to twist Sinema and Manchin's arms. We desperately need to remove the filibuster and remake the Supreme Court before it's too late!

So once Trump Inc is indicted and he's unable to get any legal loans and boy do we know that he has many loans coming due, where is he going to get the money from?

Are the rallies going to be enough? More Online blogs ????

Is this when we find out how much dark money he has from Russia and the Iranians etc?

Can his previous investors and money lenders be pursued? How much information is Deutcher going to give up now. An indictment of Trump is an indictment of his lenders. How much is Kushner and Ivanka tied to the Trump org? I'm betting, a lot!

This country is too corrupt for words!

Now just supposed it was say a chemical facility or a mercury manufacturer or a coal company?

The justice Dept is the first thing needing reform because if it operated as it should, nothing like this would happen. Do what's done in Britain. If the lawsuit is frivolous, make the party pay for everything! Then suspend the lawyer's license for a year. Jail every judge and fine them ten times the going rate if they are deemed to be taking bribes. Remove all lifetime appointments. Two term maximum for each governmental position. It goes for the president, so it should apply to everyone!

It's just utterly ridiculous what tax payers put up with in this country!

I'm not sure what you're saying here.  I don't think Biden is all that ignorant about social media.  He became familiar with social media and politics during the Obama administration.  They probably were the first team to use it effectively.  Obviously he doesn't use it like Trump did multiple times daily.  But he did take to social media for example to promote vaccines.

He also reeks Trump order that sought to limit social media firm's protections.

But that he's unable to address to "glut of misinformation bandied about now" I don't think is a sign of his age and ignorance.  It's more a sign of the times and something that started years ago.  It's been a source of angst for me personally that our society doesn't seem to have the sense to do some critical thinking and simple investigation for outrageous conspiracy theories.

But at least Biden doesn't seem to feed into them.

I guess I've been out of the loop but apparently Trump's new slogan is "Save America" (Again).   I just don't know what to think about the idea that in 2021 with an election over 3 years ago he is holding rallies and if we have to endure this for the next three years.

I see a lot of the Republican Party wanting to make moves away from Trump but the Trump train is still full swing and will it crash and burn into their own party?

I don't really care if the party self-destructs.  Democrats have their own issues and are trying to hold it together as well.  But am very bothered by Trump supporters inability to accept reality and devotion to Trump. I'm stunned actually to lack of words.

IMHO, Trump has the same neurolinguistic skills that Hitler had (or the Pied Piper).  He can convince non-thinking people to do heinous things.  And we are, as a country, losing critical thinking skills as the internet pounds people constantly with misinformation; these people are too non-discriminate to realize that they are being manipulated.  They've been hypnotized into believing that WAPO and like newspapers, are part of a huge conspiracy of journalists (like they all talk to each other) to who lie to embarrass Trump, who, of course, is incapable of embarrassment.  They are too dumb to realize that Jeff Bezos is the consummate Republican in his actions against his workers and his personal financial passes he gets from Republican tax codes.  Most of WAPO's critics have surely never even read the newspaper or even know that Bezos owns it.  But if you could watch Hitler and Trump speak side by side, there are many commonalities with how they use their voice and their hands.  Wake up America.  You are being manipulated!

And that's my problem. He's old school and polite. I'm very dictatorial in my business. I have to invest the money and take the chances, which if it went pear shaped, I would suffer the losses. I make the decisions unless it's an area I'm not familiar with, then I seek advice.

I would insist that Garland or Pelosi etc investigate or instruct the states to make enquiries into the many suspicious things re people like McConnell and his wife, Graham, Cruz, Dejoy, Sonny Perdue, Pompeo, Mnuchin, Sessions, Barr, Zinke, Ross, Louis Gormless, etc. And that's from what I can remember, I'm sure there's a lot more. Everyone is going to say that's no different from what Trump would have done and it sets a bad precedent. I say that is exactly what I want. A precedent!

I don't want corrupt politicians!

Funny to hear this from those who gobble up the liberal media's exaggeration and confabulation, such as the most recent example about how Trump is going to be indicted and end up in a orange jump suit.
