Maybe they should have investigated it further, not sure how they could have done that.  But it was WHO and other agencies that dismissed the theory not the liberal hacks not doing their job.

If the administration thought it came from a lab, this was the Trump administration and it was on then to pursue it and prove it. Naturally I'm sure the liberal press would have been critical, as we are with most of what he said and did during the pandemic.  

Can you blame them.

That's just your anticipated and expected opinion, you know that, right? Just because it is an opinion shared by other Trump supporters and right wing talking heads doesn't mean that it's true.  Kind of like that nonsense about election fraud and January 6 being a BLM/Antifa protest that the GOP desperately don't want investigated.

So how exactly was the press supposed to investigate this rumor of a lab leak? Were they supposed to fly to China at the peak of the pandemic, storm the lab and rifle through their data? Or perhaps they should have file Freedom of Information Acts requests with the lab and the Chinese government? I hear that is not so effective in China.

And what exactly did the non-liberal press do to pursue this? Or were they too busy investigating Hunter, LOL?

isn't it interesting that the conservative press hasn't successfully investigated the lab leak, Hunter Biden, or election fraud...but they have speculated expertly.

I think this was the initial problem in the press with the theory that it was leaked from a lab.  Scientists, WHO and others were saying it started in the wet market in Wuhan and that's all we had to go on.  Anything else was speculative at the time.  

Like I said who can blame the press for going with the World Health Organization at the time when people were saying like it was all a hoax, that Bill Gates was going to implant people with tracking devices, that it was because of 5G, it was a biological weapon, the US military was actually the one that brought it to China, GMOs were to blame,  big pharm invented it to make money, doctors were inflating numbers to make money on and on.  Is it any wonder that an unproven theory it jumped from a lab wasn't thoroughly investigated among all this garbage?

Perhaps those that thought it were true deserve some bragging rights now that it's taken a bit more seriously, but criticizing the liberal press or others for at first dismissing it isn't right.  

If that were the only theory at the time and there wasn't all the other garbage then perhaps we might have gotten somewhere with it but The World Health Organization investigated the theory and found it to be false at the time.  I'm sure if they were proven wrong they'd have no trouble eating crow and saying they were wrong.  I think ultimately they have people's, all the world and not just the US, interests at heart.

And yes, why during the Trump administration is the accusation " liberal propaganda press are a bunch of hacks who don't do their jobs" doesn't seem like the conservative press did a good job with this theory either.

I know for a fact that the republicans  will insist upon an investigation for that, But they feel full on, that a commission to investigate the Insurrection shouldn't occur, because the Insurrection didn't actually happen? 

Wait wasn't there a prevailing theory that covid wasn't real by the republicans as well? All scare mongering by the Libs?

Trumps social media platform also known as a blog was permanently shutdown.  I think Trump didn't like having to communicate in that more formal setting.
