On the other hand, Musk isn’t the first kajillionnair to try his hand at mass media. It can be quite entertaining to watch.  A Dunning-Kruger extravaganza.

It's celebrity worshiping, which is the raison d'etre of the Post.  It's akin to reporting a source as legitimate when it from from The Inquirer.  Let's source a handful of celebrity tweets as a "liberal meltdown."  I could call Elon Musk's foray into mass media as a "conservative meltdown".   Just a single, lone person totally deficient in emotional quotient out of his element.  It won't take more than a few days of Twitter Musk flaming to add interest to this pot if drek.

Musk really hasn't been a champion of free speech based on his history.  

I'm taking a wait and see attitude.  But if being concerned about conspiracy theories, hate and false information under the guise of "free speech" is a "liberal meltdown" count me in.

Again I wasn't clear:(  "Liberal meltdown"  is the term Beerman used in his post to describe a small group of celebrities deleting their Twitter accounts.  I don't believe that masses of people are deleting their Twitter accounts and you can't point to a handful of people as a "liberal meltdown."  I don't think Elon Musk has a skin thick enough to allow people to make fun of him, threaten him or do the same to his family on Twitter.  All of a sudden censorship will become his friend.

I think inflation and gas prices are taking a bite out of disposable income and those with disposable income are a bit skittish.  I've been putting off spending a boatload of savings on a much needed bathroom renovation.  At the same time I'm fearful that I waited to long and won't get a good price.

I thought about what the Republican said about Biden missing four out of the last five projections.  I'm too lazy too look that up but 2021 ended with a 5.7% increase in GDP the largest since 1984.  Taking in just the context of what he says people hearing and not knowing might think those quarters were bad like this one.   

One of the one's he missed might have been the last quarter of 2021 which exceeded expectations.

Nonetheless, despite that misleading statement, it's what's happing now that matters and we might have to brace ourselves for slower growth and higher prices.

How does Trump seem to weasel out of everything, like producing financial  documents, etc? He didn't even document the things that were (supposedly) done to locate the various papers, which is also a requirement ... one of the many he so blithely ignores. I don't get why he is 'allowed' to be so slippery, unless he is a hologram, or something. 

Instead of a Trump Library, how about a jail cell JUST FOR HIM? Or better still, totally SHUN him....that would be a real blow to his ego, if that were to happen! But, too many Trumpeteers still in the world would try to keep that from happening. There are three homes on my street that still have rather large signs and flags in their yards, with Trump's name on them. smh! I am so tired of him, why is he still around?  

Remember when there were posters that had a picture of Nixon, with an big, open mouth smile, waving his hands with peace signs? It was titled, "Why is This Man Laughing?" (BEE-because HE IS AN IDJET!) I think there should be a poster of Trump, along the same lines. Like it would make a half a difference, but OH WELL!

I'm not here to start a squabble, I was just mouthing off.

And I want Netflix to develop a series  based on all of the Trump family in prison and how they would dress themselves for adversity and what con schemes they would run on the inside.  Bernie Madoff was unable to stop scheming, even in prison.  At this point, it's ingrained into the DNA.  Ivanka and Jared would be left out as long as they continue to have lives separated from Don Sr. and stay away from politics.  I'm not a total meanie and wouldn't wish prison on parents of young children:)
