What state do you live in?
New York and New Jersey's main case spike came at the very beginning of the pandemic, when nobody was vaccinated, and didn't have more than a year's worth of forewarning about how to avoid these case spikes (and the deaths that result).
Unlike Florida, they have been able to avoid these spikes in cases without utilizing "strict lockdowns". Getting vaxed and wearing a mask out in public is not a "strict lockdown".

Just focus on them and what they say. I know it's hard because it's the Blaze, I added that disclaimer with my original comment. Close your eyes if you have to and listen to the hypocrisy. I mean it's coming out of their own faces on their own biased media.
Echo chamber? Well we agree on that one. The videos in this video by the Blaze demonstrates a echo chamber in its purest format. Democrats bs everyone and contradicting themselves.
How do you say...."it's not my fault you...."?
Well it's not my fault that left media won't cover anything that's not in line with their narrative or denial of the day.
Perhaps people wouldn't listen to Fox and the like if there was at least one mostly credible left media outlet.
That's a really long way of saying that you don't actually know specifically what CRT is.
To be fair though, it seems most people discussing this don't either.
Critical Race Theory is a field of study that looks at how race interacts with things like education, social constructs, the economy, etc. There are any number of views and conclusions that come out of discussing these topics, but CRT is not a defined set of views or conclusions.
As an example, one view that may result from CRT is that systemic racism is commonly experienced in the daily lives of minorities, but another view that comes from CRT is that various issues of inequity are incorrectly called "systemic racism", and that many if not most things termed systemic racism are actually inequities based on socioeconomic status, not on race. Race is simply interrelated with socioeconomic status. Two completely opposing views on racism, both from CRT.

Fla. could have taken a more cautious approach - businesses would have largely survived as they have done here. Actually, MOST of us would have survived as we have done here. I propose that you will be paying higher taxes soon to cover your governor's mismanagement at the same time we all have to pay for a 4.7 billion dollar tax cut.
I've only accurately tried to portray what was happening here in Florida and not once mentioned what my choice was. The choice was made for me by the state. I have said I rather liked being able to go to my yoga class, the gym, and get a haircut after only two months of lock down so I suppose by engaging in those activities you might say I approved, but really to say I chose "morbidity and mortality over life" is a stretch you made.
That state choice freedom over lockdown and mandates. I just happen to live here and have acknowledged it was a heavy price to pay.
It looks like The Biden administration is taking this more seriously than the previous administration. That's a good thing.

This past week the over 65 bunch jumped to 90% which obviously crosses all political lines. My age bracket is 85% vaccinated. The precent of positivity in my county which has always been a bit lower than other populated counties (we are the most densely populated county in FL) is now a good 2.1%. Hospitalizations are now at a low at my organization with only 68 covid positive patients when just a month or so ago it was over 700. But another variant could kick out butts as our vaccination rate over all is a dismal 68%.
I read in the paper that the organization I work for is looking at the Biden mandates and stated only 70% of my coworkers are vaccinated. Shameful.
I'm reading that Delta is kicking Germany's unvaccinated and the epicenter is back in the Europe. It's just not going away and the unvaccinated continue to be the center of the problem.
And so it goes.........
I first noticed this during the Obama administration, Republicans attacking other Republicans when they cross the aisle. I would venture a guess that those that cross the aisle four some benefit for their constituents.
Marjorie Taylor Green calls it a "Communist Takeover". I just can't even........
I remember when our Republican governor crossed the aisle and accepted Obama stimulus money because frankly it was billions and who could pass that up, he was reviled so much by Republicans he eventually switched parties a few years later.

I don't think Secretary Blinken gets nearly enough credit for the huge job he took on.

I'm coveting the vaccination rates you report. Our transmission and hospitalizations are still too high for our isolated medical system.

I would agree. He is extremely well spoken and qualified...I hope he's as effective.

It very much appears that a willingness to compromise or work cooperatively is discouraged among republicans. Trump certainly doesn't promote bipartisan attitudes.

To be fair Democrats don't cross over much. Republicans passed the tax cuts without a single Democrat vote, but it was a bad bill and not in line whatsoever with Democrat values.
Look at how Manchin is treated.
But when it comes to spending, if it's a Democrat proposal Republican rarely will even consider it even if their state or districts would benefit greatly from it. Obamacare and stimulus are the glaring examples to me of this.
But for example, the covid stimulus package, was Republican lead so it was okay to take that money.

Please consider the totality of legislation and not simply consider that tax giveaway as representative...it was crazy to vote for that. Look at the other votes in the House and Senate during Trump's failed presidency, particularly as Trump was lying us through the early pandemic. The agendas are vastly different in the legislation but republicans don't even want to debate the issues much less legislate to improve them.
The Republican Senate barely governs under McConnell...very little legislation moves forward under his leadership.
