Hi I am looking to find what positive mantras/affirmations you may say to yourself during a bad day or moment. I need something to help me get thru a new job....help

Specializes in ICU, nutrition.

My daddy always said, and truer words were never spoken:

"This too shall pass."

I have one of my own:

"There is no cure for stupid."

"8 hours to go....."

or

"are we havin' fun yet?"

or

"this is how it IS. I WILL do this."

My two faves are the "Lords Prayer" and the "Serenity Prayer".

They are used alot in AA and AL-Anon. Got me through some particularly rough times at work and in relationships.

Good luck to you.

"Welcome to Walmart"...or..."do you want fries with that?" gets me through most situations

Tomorrow is another day....thank goodness !!!!:D

Don't panic. Just don't panic

I also use "This too shall pass."

...sometimes, "I can stand anything for a few hours."

And then there are those days when we are all running around crazy, and just looking at everyones faces makes you burst out laughing at the absurdity of it all. Sometimes we have laughed so hard tears run down our faces!

one has already been mentioned: this too shall pass....

some other ones are....

"it could be worse"

"welcome to the zoo"

"this shift will end"

and the last 45 minutes of my shift:

"doing the end of shift happy dance"

on a more serious note i try to remember these verses:

philippians 4:13

i can do all things through him who gives me strength.

hebrews 11:1

now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see...

hope you find something that works for you...;)
