Hi I am looking to find what positive mantras/affirmations you may say to yourself during a bad day or moment. I need something to help me get thru a new job....help
on the serious side.
I try to stay focused on what is in front of me.
To me there are physically demanding days.....and there are emotionally demanding days.
On the days they are combined( working my tail end off AND dealing with death or such) is when I find it the hardest.
I try to stay focused on doing the best job I can do to meet the needs of my patients and to keep me sane remind my self that I am one of the players........but SOMEONE ELSE is in charge of the ballgame. and I'm NOT referring to the doctors(although I've known a few who thought they were Him.
I occasionally check the "demotivators" section of Despair.com ; some of the stuff there really puts things into perspective. Just when you think things are not going well, you read that and your problems (issues?????) do not appear as serious anymore. :roll

I try to persuade myself that it " is a privilege to be here caring for the ill people, and to work with these great people"
....well, most of them are great, intelligent, funny, etc.
If that doesn't work, I think of the net $$$$ I will receive for that shift,,,,that always works...
