Here's a quick poll;
#1. Students who are very sure that they will be much better nurses than These Old Hags who really need to retire because they don't Feel The Calling anymore.
#2. Patients who complain to family that they put on the call light and it takes an hour before anyone answers, and the family who Listens to that lie.
#3. Administrators who talk to the patient in #2 and also believe the lie, which requires a full Answering for why the call bells are being ignored!
#4.Coming on shift and finding that my patient run includes all the patients the off-going nurse couldn't bother to check were in decent shape before giving report so that the minute I am on everyone is screaming for pain meds that are overdue or lying in waste!
#5. Having an untrustworthy CNA who tells me that all kinds of things are done but are not and when I check she insists it Just Happened!
Woah there, I own my own home care agency at the age of 20 and am in second year nursing. I also have access to the internet. Doesn't mean I can't have a bit of fun =DA lot of people here are feisty.. I like it
You have the ability hold a license to administrate an agency when you have not even completed school? Your profile says this will not happen at least until June of this year....

I am sad to be leaving a facility at which my boss stands up for the nursing staff. It is SO refreshing to work for someone who leads like that. But alas, I am moving 2.5 hours away.

I have already received a grant and my master business license for this company. I already technically own the agency, but am not accepting clients until June 2016. I have the website, brochures, business cards, an office, and many other things complete. I'm starting to hire in a couple of weeks.
It is a non-medical home care agency. You don't need a license for it where I come from. I was the smart one who figured that out early in nursing school.
