I found out today that our nursing uniform is white scrub pants (or a white skirt), a white polo shirt and a white smock/lab coat that has to be worn at all times. YUCK!! Plus, the polo shirt is pretty thick. Can anyone say heat stroke. I'm gonna melt and look ugly lol.
What do you wear to your clinicals?
Our uniform is a carribean blue/green colored scrub tops and bottoms.... needless to say we all walk around looking like Gumby!!!
LOL! That's what color I have to wear at my PCA job. It's hard to find print tops to go with it so most folks wind up wearing white pants and a CB top or all CB. Bleh.
We have to wear a long white dress with purple belt and shoulder tabs. It is horrid.

No trousers/tunic tops, no scrubs
Our is a white uniform top with a collar and a front with pockets that buttons onto the base of the top on both sides. The pants are plain white uniform pants. At least they are heavy duty material!! We can wear a 3/4 length lab coat (which makes the uniforms look much better but we are roasting!) and all white shoes. Jeez, from what I am reading our uniforms are way better than what some of you have to wear yikes!!
When i was in collage our clinical uniform was plain white pants and white top with matching white shoes. While the ladies wore a plain white dress, white pantyhose, white shoes and a cap. though we have other unifrom for community outreach and OR/DR. Its realy a struggle to wear those clothes specially during the rainy season. until now i still wear all white its the hospitals policy:crying2::crying2:
I think they make us dress this way so they know the Nursing students from the rest...LOL
We have a navy button up smock which I wear a white shirt under, white scrub pants and white shoes/socks. And I always pull my hair up with a white scrunchie...LOL
It's not horribly bad - it could be worse, but I can't wait to be able to choose my own scrubs!
well, down here in miami, my school wants us to wear white pants and shoes, but the smock top they require us to wear is from the school, with the school logo....fine fine fine, except each one costs $50!!!!!!!
that's more than the fanciest, most brand-name-est scrub top out there!!!! i'm in clinicals/clinical settings three days a week, and have to wear the uniform to school as well.......so do you think i can afford five $50 scrub tops????
they mentioned that they are handmade here in miami....oh, great, i have to pay $50 for a top i'll never wear after i graduate so your abuelita (grandma, to all you english-only) can make $50 sewing our tops. sheesh.
i'm a little bummed, especially since i have five very nice all-white regular scrub tops i could have worn instead....

Navy twill pants w/ elastic in the back and a drawstring in the front, blue/white striped oxford buttondown shirt and a white lab coat with our school patch on it. I hope we don't have to wear the coat all the time cause I'm gonna die of heatstroke!
