  1. Experienced Nurses will not work for crumbs money. Most of these hospitals are cheap labor hospitals. Plain Nope!!!
  2. NEDRN, thanks for your response. I am still doing my research.
  3. NED RN : Thanks for the information. I want to travel with them but the money is not too good. I will wait to see what happens. I am enrolled in health trust presently, so I will have two agencies from which to choose. Thanks again.
  4. Can you tell me about Crosscountry Travel nursing? I want to join them for per diem or traveling.
  5. Some HCA hospitals pay black nurses far less than their white counterparts. They treat the black nurses really badly. I have seen white nurses looking like they are on drugs or something being glorified for good work; however, those nurses are lazy and incompetent. On the other hand, one black nurse had a discrepancy of a medication which we call glorified Tylenol was blacklisted. I don't know how nurses work at this group of hospitals for years. May God bless their good heart!
  6. I am not surprised by the behavior of the administration at the HCA hospitals. The ones in Florida are terrible. They treat the employees really bad. They give them eight and nine patients sometimes. Worst, the nurses dislike agency nurses. They treat them like garbage. I used to work with that group and some Supervisors are horrible. They judge nurses by their skin color. I used to see this special supervisor who does not say hi to me but goes over to the Caucasians and say Hi. I used to ignore her because she is old and miserable. Her mind is eating her away. Be careful of them, they will laugh with you and tell lies to put you on the blacklist. I was blacklisted at one of the facilities because they tell the agency lies on me. There are evil nurses out there.
  7. I think it is a good idea to do the three "P's". I got my MSN from WGU last year and those three were not included.
  8. I would advise you to take the prerequisites at a community college then you can go on to WGU. Since you have been out of the classroom for such a long time, it can be difficult for you to adjust to online classes.
  9. I have just completed the masters program and it is a lot of writing and three exams are included. The exams can be a bit tricky. It is doable and you will do great.
  10. RN Mommy, Just remain focused. Don't wait on a task to come back to start another. Just keep going. You will be done before you know it.
  11. I have seen people who got PhD from brick and mortar school and they still act stupid. It does not matter what school you attend, it is how you apply yourself. I have a Masters in Education from WGU and I am proud to say that I have learned a lot and I am a well rounded person.
  12. GozXamaica, It depends on your pace. It took me six months to finish my BSN and 9 months for my MSN. It doable. You can do it! I work fulltime and did it and so can you. By the way, I am a mother of two too....single parent.
  13. I didn't do biochem, stats, and nutrition. It took me 15 months to do the BSN and MSN.
  14. I just completed my MSN (Education) at Western Governors University. It has been a very tedious road but it pays off. Hardwork truly pays off.
  15. I just completed the Capstone for the MSN (Education) and I feel very elated. WGU is the best. My instructor/mentor takes time to explain everything and she is very dedicated. I am waiting on that Doctorate Program to start at WGU. I Love that school.
