Can you tell me about Crosscountry Travel nursing? I want to join them for per diem or traveling.

What exactly would you like to know? I think they are currently number 2 in agency size and with a vast number of travelers, have a vast number of complaints found online. To be expected. If you want a single point of contact, you won't have one, with your recruiter, assistant recruiter, quality assurance person (or several) validating and investigating your credentials and references, a benefits person (or several), housing person, payroll and timekeeper, and potentially a contracts person (or specific hospital specialist) involved. Nothing wrong but it is nice to know going in. Easy to feel lost and more points of contact where if any one fails, the contract will not come off smoothly. While you probably won't find many compliments versus complaints online, CC didn't become so large by failing more than they succeed.
I worked for them 1995-2020 when they were the largest agency, but times have changed dramatically. We parted ways badly, and I learned a valuable lesson that you cannot put all your eggs in one basket, and that recruiters are not your friends - their first loyalty is corporate, not travelers. And career wise parting from them was good, compensation went up dramatically. It can be a hassle switching agencies and I completely understand why many travelers chose the path of least resistance and stick with a single agency, but there are risks to this path. On the other hand, I do know travelers with CC lasting 20 plus years so it is not possible to make firm declarations about any travel style or agency.
No matter the path you chose, I would highly recommend that you collect your own written references/evaluations for your own professional portfolio. These are highly valuable, and CC is not going to give you copies of the references they collect on you on each assignment.

Thanks for the information. I want to travel with them but the money is not too good. I will wait to see what happens. I am enrolled in health trust presently, so I will have two agencies from which to choose. Thanks again.
HealthTrust is HCA owned and likely 99% of the assignments are HCA. So that is really not two agencies as virtually any other agency you choose will also have access to those same HCA assignments and lots more. Personally, I would not want to work at any HCA hospital no matter the pay. About the only advantage of being enrolled in HealthTrust is that you will have first pick of HCA assignments over other agencies.
NEDRN, thanks for your response. I am still doing my research.
