What nursing class at your school has the most failure rate?

Published

Hi, I'm trying to find out at different nursing schools what nursing class has the most people to fail. At my school, there is a high failure rate in med-surg I. Most people at my school do not pass med-surg I the first time.

Pharm! The first test we took, nobody on all four campuses passed. The highest was a 69 and that was mine!!!! On the ATI, I score in the 80's but on the test that our instructors give us, I am in the 70's. I dont understand it, I dont even care anymore. If I dont make it because they "try" to make us fail, everyone that will listen will know about it.

Not ONE person out of 4 different classes passed this one test?

We lost the most in Fundamentals... and we have lost a few each sememster. We started with 35 and we will hopefully graduate 15 next Friday... if all goes well!

Not a SINGLE pass. I know it is hard to believe but it's true, not a rant. Last year they had such HIGH recomendations then something happened. Two instructors were brought in to replace two that were leaving. IDK... One instructor is GREAT, the other leaves something to be desired. I have given up on trying to fix it, just working on keeping my head afloat...

L & D and PP. We lost 5 last semster, myself included and on track to lose another 6 this time around. The teacher is just brutal

The folks I see struggling are those who blew off the importance of A&P and patho classes.

In my class out of 60 we are now 32... lost MOST in pharmacology

We lost our first out of our class about 6 weeks ago-leadership.

Specializes in Pediatric Intensive Care, Long Term care.

Hands down. our Medical Surgical class....it takes out mass people

What does fundamentals of Nursing cover? Curious because the majority seems to flunk out of it. I assumed it was assessment, vitals and Personal Care for the pts.

Med Surg I and II (II more so because you take Mental Health with it)
