  1. I have my first dosage calculation test coming up and I have to score 95% or better on the test. Are there any websites that I can get practice problems from to print out. I am able to understand most dosage calculations but I start to get confused when I have to convert and when there is more than one step to the problem. Any advice will be very appreciated.

My friend says that they are accepting NLN pre-entrance scores of 85 or higher. I believe they meet one day for class and one day for clinials but i'm not for sure on that.

Clinicals are usually held in Columbus at West Central Hospital, Columbus Regional, and at Doctors. I have a friend that is currently in the RN program and she said it is hard.

Yes...Columbus Tech is very competative. It is very hard to get into the program. I just got accepted into Southern Unions RN program in Opelika. It's not as competative as Columbus Tech. Good Luck if you decide to attend Columbus Tech.
  5. I don't know if this will make you feel any better but 15 of my classmates just took the NCLEX-PN and all stopped at 85 and passed...so far I am the only on who had 155 questions and passed...more than likely you passed your test.:wink2:
  6. I started the program with 40 students...Only 15 of us actually graduated. The half that didn't graduate failed the classes.
  7. I just took the NCLEX-PN exam and passed on my 1st attempt and I used Kaplan 2008 edition to study. That was the only book that I studied.
  8. I just graduated LPN school in Dec and took and passed my boards in Jan and now I start my 1st job as an LPN nurse on Monday and I am scared and nervous. When I was in clinicals I had my instructor by my side so I was never scared or nervous when I did procedures or when she would grill me about my patient and the medications I was giving....now I am on my own with no instructor, more than 2 patients, and doing it all by myself and it is freaking me out because I do not want to make any errors because I am dealing with people's lives. Someone please help me overcome this fear!!!:innerconf When I was in school I said I would only be a doctors office nurse and I would NEVER be a bedside nurse in a hospital because of the tremendous responsibilty that bedside nursing offers, but as fate has it that you should never say never, I am going to be a bedside nurse I need advice and for someone to shake some reality into me please!!!
  9. I took my test last Thursday and had 155 questions and I passed. Another girl in my class took her test 2 weeks ago and had 170 questions and she passed. Keep your faith and don't think negative...
  10. I used the Kaplan book Starting Jan 12th till it ws time to take my test on the 31st. I read all the chapters and did all the questions in the back and that was it. I went and took the test and passed with 155 questions.
  11. Hi miss jkm, i called the nclex quick results service that gives you your unofficial results (pass/fail). I tested in GA and they have quick results. The quick results gives you two options to find out if you pass/fail: via the web at http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex or via the phone. Both ways incur a charge to find out your results. Good luck to you!
  12. I read the Kaplen Nclex and that was the only book that I studied. I didn't pick up any other book but that one. I took my test on Thursday and I found out that I passed today...The book was very informational and I liked it.
  13. :w00t:After many sleepless nights(2 nights) and not eating(I think I lost a couple of pounds) I called this morning and found out I passed my test!!!! I am sooo excited and relieved.
  14. I will be getting a GA license so I won't be able to work at Summit Hospital. And with the new buy out from Hughston Clinic I don't know what they will do with their nurses. Thanks for the idea.
