So I am sitting here brushing up on some stuff that I came across on our unit the other night and jamming out and was curious what everyone listens to. I know its not everyones thing to have noise when studying but Im guessing there are a few of us out there.
My playlist:
Pretty Lights ( Vida PLEASE tell me you have heard of them)
Daft Punk
Some Lil Wayne
ES Posthumas
Adele
Wow, these are all cds my husband and I have owned, or currently own!
We are soundtrack junkies, but tend to like the battle and war saga type. They really have some good musical scores!
I am a new nursing student and have been considering what music I would like to listen to while studying. I know I'll be putting a lot of classical on my MP3 player as well.
The soundtrack to Avatar has a few songs that I think would be great for studying too!
Classical or other word-less music. I'd rather study in silence but with two loud kids sometimes it takes the noise canceling headphones and some background music to muffle the distractions. During the winter I listed to a lot of xmas music such as Josh Groban. Maybe I should try french music, or some other language that I don't really understand too? : )

You have to be careful with the foreign language type of stuff, depending on the type you listen to. it can be just as beautiful and will suck you in.
And Christmas music is TERRRRRRIBLE.
I have a very diverse selection I like to listen to.
I go anywhere from Ramones to Tommy Roe... lol... Monkees, Beatles, Motley Crue, Petula Clark, Morrissey, Peter Murphy, Anthrax, Johnny Horton... lol!!
I can do just about anything but classical. That's for sleeping and I will go to sleep!
Unfortunately, music sometimes distracts me so I have to turn it off.
Music worked much better for me when I was an Art student... not so much when I was trying to get a grip on hemodynamics...

Awesome! Even if I know the words to the songs, Owl City's music is still not as distracting as other music for some reason, but it sets a good atmosphere. :)
