What do you listen to while studying

So I am sitting here brushing up on some stuff that I came across on our unit the other night and jamming out and was curious what everyone listens to. I know its not everyones thing to have noise when studying but Im guessing there are a few of us out there.

My playlist:

Pretty Lights ( Vida PLEASE tell me you have heard of them)

Daft Punk

Some Lil Wayne

ES Posthumas

Adele

Oh they are just mixers. They are white. And dont forget about those white boys 3OH3 ha ha They do a lot of smapling from other tracks. Like All of the Lights by Kanye West, that is my favorite.

Thank you for mentioning mass effect! Great freaking game and incredible music. Call of duty has some good stuff too.

To all the fans of instrumental/movie soundtracks:

Steve Jablonsky

Hans Zimmer

Lisa Gerrard

Two Steps from Hell

are all incredible.

Agreed! Looking forward to ME3 next year. I'll check out COD, thanks for the tips!

Wow, its impossible for me to study while listening to music because I'll just get so caught up listening to the lyrics than studying.

So yeah, I study in silence.

I love studying in the library because of this. :p

I can't listen to anything while studying - music, the TV, radio - it bothers me too much! I can't even leave my bedroom window open... the outdoor noise would just throw me off.

I am so envious of you that can listen to music while studying. I was THIS CLOSE to having a degree in Music Education, so as a total music geek, I can't concentrate while it's on. LOL. I have to have the tv blaring in order to concentrate. (Weird I know, but I rarely watch it.) I can't wait until football season...I did my best work with the games on.

(Come on NFL and get your act together!!!)

I try to listen to non-verbal music, which can be either classical or jazz. When I don't have access to that kind of music, I usually end up listening to U2 or the like. When I'm in nursing school, sometimes I do want to be where the streets have no name!

I study to cable news! I chalk it up to the need to be up on current events while I was getting my first degree in political science. I always had the news on so now anything else just feels unnatural!

I know that it sounds ridiculous, but I listen to instrumental bluegrass on Pandora when I am studying. I can't study in silence because then EVERY little sound made outside the silence drives me crazy. I've tried to do the silent library studying but there is no such thing at my university's library. I choose the bluegrassy because I don't really have any solid connection to the music and it lets me focus on the books and less on the music but tune the other distracting noises out. I'm a rocker in a normal environment.

i listen to crystal castles a lot when i study. since there isn’t a lot of singing, the rhythm of the songs helps me get a rhythm to studying.

Anything without words to distract me.

Some of my favorites are:

- Rodrigo y gabriella (or any classical guitar/flamenco)

- Classical piano (Scott D. Davis- piano tribute to Metallica)

- Pandora Classical Gas

- Mozart, and the like...

Silence! I am a huge music person and would get no studying done with my favorite music on, because I would sing instead! Since I have roommates, it's hard to arrange a quiet house so I end up studying while everyone is asleep (either late at night or really early in the morning). If that's not possible, then I suck it up and listen to classical piano or something wordless, but I'm at my best in total silence.

OMG Pitaya I LOVE studying to Owl city!!!

Hahaha I had to mention that..I just had to!
