What grade is "passing" in your nursing school??

Published

At my school, we had to have an 80. All schools are different. I'm just curious :)

We needed a 75 to pass and a 74.999 was failing. No amount of pleading would help the student that made less than exactly 75.

We have to have a 78 to pass.

Ours is a C, if you get a C- in a class, you have to take it over. :(

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Ours is a 75%, but most professors will negotiate if it's a 74.5-75.

76 is passing, no less.

77, but they round final grades, so I guess that makes it a 76.5.

77 here.

Same here. No 76.5%.

Are any of you guys in a technical school or university? I was in an ADN program at a technical school and they require an 80 to pass. However, a friend of mine attends a university in the same city. She is in a BSN program and a 75 is required to pass. I would've thought just the opposite.

Same for my school!

My school tells me 70 is passing, but encouraging me to have 80 or better.
