  1. I didn't really have a feeling one way or the other after I got done and that REALLY SCARED ME!!!! I did the pvt trick and got the good pop up, so that is the only thing that will keep me going this weekend! I have to work tomorrow so hopefully that will pass the time!! Good luck to all of those who are getting ready to take the exam. KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND JUST KEEP TELLING YOURSELF YOU CAN DO THIS AND IT IS JUST ANOTHER EXAM!!!!!:yeah::clown: :):):):) :redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:up::up:
  2. I couldn't log into the pvt website and had to actually call them to schedule my NCLEX. I was wondering if after I take it Friday if I am going to be able to do the PVT trick? Thanks for any advice!
  3. Thanks for all of the advice! I thinky anxiety plus just being tired of studying has finally gotten to me!!!
  4. I am taking nclex next friday, the 16th and I have been doing the case studies in the lacharity book today. All I can say is WOOOOW. I haven't been doing very well on a lot of them and now I am starting to get extremely stressed. I am horrible at the sata's. I either pick one too many or leave one out. I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I am setting here and I am almost in tears I am so worried. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!:crying2:
  5. I take mine the 16th and I am still doing questions but I am not doing so well and it is stressing me out!!! I am definetly ready for it to be over with!! Good luck everyone!!!!
  6. marshpit23, the best advice I can give you is to get an NCLEX book, I got the Saunders Comprehensive 4th edition and it has content with questions after each chapter and it also has a disk with a ton of questions. I would start from the begining doing NCLEX questions to get use to the format. I wish you all the best of look during your journey through nursing school!!!:)
  7. Thanks! It has been a long hard road, but it IS doable!
  8. I took my Hesi exit exam today and passed on the first time! I can't tell you how much of a burden that has lifted off of my shoulders! I know I still have to take the NCLEX, but at least I get to sit for boards. I can actually do things with my family and not be so stressed!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!
  9. Congrats everyone! I just took my final tomorrow and take hesi next thursday. Shannon 77 how did you study for hesi?
  10. What did you do to study for the hesi? I take it in a couple of weeks and I have been using saunder's and doing tons of questions.
  11. This is how our teachers taught us to do critical drips. You have to begin by converting the lbs to kg. 98lb/2.2 kg = 44.545454 kg. Then you take the kgx60xvolume/concentration, you must convert the mg to mcg. 44.54x60x500/400000 = 3.3405 and the multiply by the mcg 3.3405x6mcg = 20.043; 20 ml/hr. Forumula = kg x 60 x volume/concentration x mcg I hope this helps!
  12. I have been a scrubtech for 10 yrs and always wear goggles b/c I can't tell you how many times I have been coughed on in the face when a patient is waking up, blood squirted on me just to mention a few. Some hospitals it is mandatory and others it is a choice, but IMHO it is smart to use the protection to protect yourself from unwanted diseases!
  13. We were required to buy the HESI study book and our instructors said we needed to study a subject each week up until the test. We are supposed to have a few study sessions but I'm not sure what they will be about.
  14. Does anyone have any advice on how to study for this exam? We only get three chances and this test scares me to death! Any advice would be appreciated!!!
  15. I have been a scrub tech for 10 yrs and when an instrument is that hot it would have had to have just come out of the autoclave. I always cool those instruments down with saline and have refused to give an imstrent to a surgeon due to it being too hot! Anything is possible though because one of our RNs accidentally burnt a patient with a saline bottle that had been in the top of our warmer. He used it to prop the patient's arm up while scrubbing the arm.
