What has been your favorite prerequisite?

We always talk about what was hard or what we've hated... but what have you loved?

Before this semester A&P was my favorite series of classes. The complex processes of the human body were rewarding and exciting to both learn and understand.

As I enter my last semester of prerequisite courses, I think A&P has a rival for my favorite. I'm now in Chemistry and I LOVE IT. It just makes sense to me and I get excited to come home and do my homework! My professor has her doctorate in Organic Chem from Johns Hopkins, she is so knowledgeable and passionate. I swear her enthusiasm is contagious.

Throughout this process I have gained an incredible love of learning, I feel so lucky to have this insatiable thirst for knowledge!

We took pathophysiology and pharmacology as pre-reqs in my program and I loved both of them. I ended up really liking sociology, too, much to my surprise. I had a great professor for that one.

Specializes in Oncology/hematology.

I loved sociology as well and it will help as a nurse.

LOVE A&P 1 and 2!!!! And I'm currently in microbiology and I'm really liking it, hoping to love it as the semester goes on.

I am likinig A&P, but I like it more when I teach it to my self at home. It's hard with the instructor we have, not much instructing going on, just reading PP's that are already handed out. lol. I look forward to Micro next semester :) Psych is fun too, I didn't think I'd like it but I do.

Specializes in Eventually Midwifery.

I loved A&P because I had an awesome teacher. However, I really, really love Micro lab. We did Gram stains today and I got to look at bac that we stained- made me feel like I did something important. Very pretty stains, I might add :)

Specializes in Critical Care, Med-Surg, Psych, Geri, LTC, Tele,.

Microbiology!!!

Specializes in Psychiatry.

While I loved A&P, Micro is far more interesting to me.

Specializes in Operating Room.

Mine would be a tie between Micro and A&P II. We went to a cadaver lab in A&P II so that was a lot of fun and made me realize just how much I had learned during my pre-requisites and that I really could do this as a career. :-) It was definitely a good way to push me back into focus when I would second guess myself during pre-requisites.

Micro, as others can surely tell, was awesome. I loved each lecture and lab.

Probably a tie between statistics and a&p 2. I thought stats was fun. For A&P 1 I was adjusting to the hectic schedule and felt stressed a lot. I loved learning about the body - especially the physiology. The nervous & cardiovascular systems were probably my favorite - had fun drawing hearts and the flow of blood over and over!

I also loved micro, but I didn't do as well as I'd have liked to in it.

I love that all you guys have loved your sciences so much!

Micro and Ethics by far were my fav.

I'm taking college algebra in Oct and I am little nervous to say the least........
