What has been your favorite prerequisite?

We always talk about what was hard or what we've hated... but what have you loved?

Before this semester A&P was my favorite series of classes. The complex processes of the human body were rewarding and exciting to both learn and understand.

As I enter my last semester of prerequisite courses, I think A&P has a rival for my favorite. I'm now in Chemistry and I LOVE IT. It just makes sense to me and I get excited to come home and do my homework! My professor has her doctorate in Organic Chem from Johns Hopkins, she is so knowledgeable and passionate. I swear her enthusiasm is contagious.

Throughout this process I have gained an incredible love of learning, I feel so lucky to have this insatiable thirst for knowledge!

I have my first degree in Chemistry so that is close to the top, but I really loved Micro and my Psych classes.

1)AP2 --> 2)Micro --> 3)Abnormal Psychology

Specializes in Emergency.

Microbiology was my all time favorite class. Loved the lab.

I really like A&P 2 and Microbiology!

Specializes in LTC.

Honestly Organic Chemistry. I realize now if nursing doesn't work out (ie I get in nowhere) I'm going to be an Organic Chemist.

Specializes in Hospice, Palliative Care.

Good day:

I'm really enjoying Basic Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology.

Thank you.

Specializes in IMCU, Oncology.

So far it is microbiology - I have a really interesting professor.

Specializes in Operating Room.

For me it was A&P II with Micro close behind!

Specializes in Psychiatry, Oncology.

Seemingly strange since I took A&P I and II during the short summer semesters which is a very cruel thing to do to yourself, I have to say A&P II. We had the best professor ever. And the subject is fascinating, of course.

I'm loving my A&P II class right now.

Specializes in Neuro, Telemetry.

I loved chem as well. It was interesting and had "rules". I love concepts that follow specific "rules". It just makes sense to me. The labs were fun as well. I also like both intro psych and developmental psych. But chem definitely takes the cake. I would almost include patho if it wasnt so "hard." I feel like it starts to get more into the meat and potatoes of healthcare since it focuses a lot on disease process.

I'm just starting prereqs so I'm taking human bio, lifespan development, and intro psych. I like them all but my professor for intro psych makes lecture pretty fun, and I like the system she uses for class.
