I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

QuoteAccording to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

My point is violence and senseless killings is more complex than police funding, changing social norms, and Democratic mayors. No one seems to take into consideration income disparities, drug addiction, social isolation and lack of adequate housing. Oh no, it's easier to pull out statistics for a single year, and point fingers.
Nobody (including myself) ever stated that at times there won't be mistakes made by the police, they are human and that happens to all of us (and they are paying for that). But since you asked, yes all those other issues do come into play when confrontations with the police happen. How kids are raised, the policies in those cities/states where they live, their income/housing etc. And as I stated those policies that negatively affect black communities are Democrat policies.
In this case so far what we know is that it was a traffic stop, the guy tried to resist arrest, run and fight. So like someone else said maybe if he had not done that the situation would not have escalated as far as it did. From what I see the cops went too far, although we still don't know the all the facts, but the way this man acted did not have to happen. So then the question is why did he run and fight the cops, maybe because of all the hype he has listened to, IDK. Either way it is not a stretch to tell our kids how to behave when confronted by the authorities, it might just save their life!

Yes, Heron. That's the first thing that came to my mind when he mentioned all the deaths of young black men in Chicago. Poverty, poverty, poverty and lots of guns available. I live in the North country and our minorities are Native American and a splash of Eastern Europeans. We have a pretty good meth problem here and I can guarantee that 99.9% of our criminals are white:) We have extreme poverty among some great wealth. I'm not sure why our lack of discussing the deaths of young black men in Chicago every.single.day. is going to solve anything. We know what needs to be done but don't have the will to do it. We can't just click our fingers and will it to happen. Right now, I'm more interested in Memphis since I used to live near there and still have friends there. I await to see the facts.

What do you propose the change the way "kids are raised?" and what, specifically are these Democratic policies that are perpetuating violence? Again, I look forward to the facts.

Modern Black culture is the problem. Fathers in jail or absent are the reason you have so much poverty and destruction in the black community. Liberal policies of rewarding unwed mothers creates no need for a father figure to step up and take responsibility. It ain't white nationalists creating problems for the black community.

And how did you come by your expertise in Black culture?

Perhaps the fact that the problems in this community are ignored. Your guess is as good as mine on why it seems as if democrats become much more active and outraged when a "white kid" in a "republican "state shoots up a school killing a bunch of "white kids" Than they are when 39 people, mostly black and primarily under the age of 25 are killed in less than 1 month by gun violence? Why do you thinknthat is?
Is it because pointing out the demographic is racist? Or because it's in a state with strict gun laws? Do not want to reassess that perhaps some of the gun laws are not working? Is a ego thing?
I don't care about politics or pointing out a disparity and being called racist. I've been simply because I am a conservative, and I'm not even white!
I'll be the bad guy. While democrats are inflamming themselves with the white kid killing other white kids and finding the evil "white supremist", there are young black people dying everyday and it seems no body cares. Again, here is a list of people, mostly black who have died in less than one month from gun violence, and yes, they are mostly black!

39 people!! Here are some of their names.....
Jarvis Watts, 9
Adele Jones, 15
Ahmad Jones, 16
Jeremiah Whisenton, 17
Demani Bass, 19
Omarion Stuart Ki Sean Overton, 20
Yes. They are all black. Why doesn't anyone say their names?????
Why doesn't BLM and Antifa "protest" their deaths?? Where are their names on posters? And picket signs? I guess they don't matter because they were not killed by a cop? Or killed by a white republican kid and they are not white? Or because they were not a criminal most likely resisting arrest and threatning the police?
QuoteA newly elected Florida Republican sent grenades to fellow members of Congress, prompting one aghast Democrat to say "not even George Santos could make this stuff up".
[...]
The grenades were sent by another freshman, Cory Mills, a member of the armed services and foreign affairs committees.
Republican elephant, the inert projectiles came with a letter in which Mills said: "It is my pleasure to give you a 40mm grenade, made for a Mk19 grenade launcher. They are manufactured in the Sunshine State and first developed in the Vietnam war.
"Let's come together and get to work on behalf of our constituents.”
