What can I do besides nursing?

I lost my nursing license in 2015 due to school claiming I did not graduate. I had worked for 8 years as a nurse and loved it. And yes I posted things before. I would just like to know if everthing else fails what would be a good medical profession? I pray I will get license back but is has been 3 years. Please no negative commment I have been through heck. My story was on the news 4 so I am not making this up.

"Good" is highly subjective. What do you like to do? What are you qualified to do?

Were you cleared of the mishap? I worry that applying for another medical license or certificate might be problematic if you have to reveal that you lost the nursing license. But I have no experience with that.

I found three news stories detailing the whole situation. The nursing world in very small, and if you do happen to get your license back, I'm sure you wouldn't want future co-workers/employers to find this.

I agree that more anonymous is better in general, but I don't think this is the type of scandalous situation that an employer would hold against an employee. I also "graduated" a fair amount of time after being licensed and working due to a simple clerical error. I wonder how common this is?

I worked as an observation tech while in nursing school. My department had an lpn who I think was still licensed and an adn who never got her license. The pay is not as good of course. There are probably many jobs in healthcare where your knowledge would be a valuable asset even though you are not licensed.

What kind of nursing did you do?

Intensive care. I loved it I don't know if I will find anything I like as much as nursing. I am 43 and hate to go back to school but it's time to find something else. Thanks you for help and nice comments

Not common at all one time in my state but it was not a nurse. I tell everyone I know to make sure you keep copies of everything. I never want this to happen again.

Can you just retake the classes they are saying you need and then become legally active again once your degree is conferred?

This whole situation is weird, and I don't fully understand it even by reading the news article.

Hey there! I'm just a nursing student, but I live very near to you and I read your story in the news a few years back. I'm so sorry for what happened, but is there a possibility you could retake Biology 101 and apply for graduation and then sit for the NCLEX again? I of course don't know the nitty gritty details of your situation, but that seems like it could be an option. As far as other professions go, at least here at HGTC, the prerequisites for our ADN program are the same as the prerequisites for the Respiratory Therapy program, so that might be the fastest program for you to get into. But that all of course depends on what you're interested in.
