I just got accepted into the FNP MSN-E program at Western University of Health Sciences. Has anyone gone through this program? If so, could you please share what you liked and disliked about the program. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thank you!

Me too.. Now I am even more worried. When am I going to find out? What do I do with next year plannning. Am I even going to get 2 weeks to give notice to my employer if I get accepted..Is there any alternates who have heard anything for fall 2010 for western E-MSN program? Any info will help.
Tell me about it. I'm still on the waitlist for Western, won't hear from Azusa till end of May/early June, and was denied by all other schools I applied to. I already took 1 year off after I completed my undergrad...not getting in to schools this fall was never part of my plan! I was hoping to hear from Western in April since most other schools send their acceptances then. Ugh. Frustrated.
Has anyone been accepted into the MSN-E program that begins in August that is looking for a place to live near campus? I would really like to live with another (female) nursing student (preferrably one from my cohort) but I am not sure how to go about connecting with anyone. Also, do you know if a facebook has been created for our cohort? I know they did that last year, but I do not have facebook so I wasn't sure if one was created for this year. Please write back!
Thanks!
Hi 2010student! I'll be starting the MSN-E program in August with you and am looking for a roommate and a place to live as well! Are there any specific areas you were looking to live? I would preferably like to avoid Pomona and would rather take a little bit extra time commuting to live in a safer area (ie Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, etc.). There is a FB group that's started for c/o 2014 but we're not allowed to link here . I've been looking for potential roommates on Banweb and submitted a roommate request form. Hopefully more people will post as August draws nearer.
hey guys,
i was accepted for alternate status back in february. i was wondering if anyone that is an alternate have heard anything about being accepted? i emailed a person at western and she said they usually see movement in mid-june and early july. so i guess that still gives me some hope.
got letter last week but not going - I dont want to go western because they put me on alternate just because I was sleepy during interview. I got into lb and fullerton which have relatively higher selection requirements so I think its an insult that western put me on their alternate list when I'm most likely going to achieve better academic performance than the majority of the cohort (based on my previous academic performance). I mean if you got a 3.7 GPA with a BS in Bio at a UC blazing and drinking during the entire 4 years and studying the day before midterms/final and scored in the 98th national percentile on the TEAS with 5 hours of studying wouldn't you be insulted that Western wants you to pay a 40K+ for the first year of tuition after placing you on the waitlist?
wow.
ok well I was on the alternate list and I have been accepted. I found out around last week so I was really excited to hear from them via email. I've been keeping myself busy and it really paid off which I think seems to be the main reason why they decided to admit me. I gave them an up to date resume and showed them just how interested i really was. I think Western is going to treat us with so much respect and show that they really care about our education, considering we are paying them 40k+...but I really think it is how much effort you put into your work...either way, it will be all worth it in the end.

congrats Henrita!
i'm a current ucd undergraduate student. i want to apply western too. but my gpa is 3.1! i know its not very good, but i try my best! would u like to provide some information for me for applying that school? thank you so much!
i apologize for my last post - I was wasted on cheap beer and some scratch weed. I'm sure Western students will enjoy the experience. They really seem to be focused on their students and really provide a great education for the tuition cost. I hope we can someday work with one another and share about our experiences.
